Remarks
In order to be eligible, you need to complete the 12th grade. fill out the application form on the mg university site. We can then give allotment in various colleges as per wish. I got my allotment from St George's college. After getting an allotment I went to the college and took admission there was just a personal interview with the principal and nothing else.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I was interested in the taxation sector. For every subject, there are different teachers and each one of them has expert knowledge in that field. Teachers are really qualified and their teaching method is also good they teach with real-life examples. There are semester exams after every 6 months but due to the pandemic, our exams were late. Exams are not very difficult passes even if you study during the last days you can score a passing mark.
Placement Experience
The placements offered by our college were quite okay. From the 5th semester onwards the students become eligible to apply for various placements. Hdfc bank, sbi cards, federal bank, south Indian bank they visited, and companies like TCS, Wipro, and cognizant were also included in the online sessions. Many students got placed in TCS, Wipro, and cognizant but only a few students got into banks. The highest package was 3.6 LPA and the lowest package was 2 LPA. Less than 50% of students got placed. I joined for a Professional course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for my course was 9000 per semester. There are scholarships that are approved by the government. Since the fees are less financial assistance is not provided by the college. There are no campus jobs but placements are provided by the college.
Campus Life
A Commerce fest is conducted each year by the department and various fests are conducted by the respective departments. There are various books and journals in the library which can be put to use. Tables, benches, and blackboards are provided in the classrooms. Various sports activities like cricket and volleyball tournaments are conducted in the college. There are different Instagram pages run by the students of the college.
