Review of my college

Remarks :

Don't go by the name of the college. there are colleges which are not on the top rankings but in terms of seriousness towards students careers are far ahead than this one. What mistake people usually do is that they go by the name. please don't. research

Entrance Preview :

I applied for NCHMCT JEE, And my AIR was 267, surprisingly since the paper was too easy for any 5th class student. Got the college in the first counselling and since this was the Best College since last so many years in India, without any doubt I opted for this.

Course Curriculum Overview :

1st Year - Basics of Hotel Industry. 2nd Year - In Depth Knowledge and Industrial Training in any 5 star hotel for 17 weeks. 3rd Year - Placements from September starts and side by side the classes continues.

Internships Opportunities :

My experience was amazing. Got a lot of knowledge about hotel industry. I did it in The Oberoi Gurgaon and I was offered a stipend of 800 rupees. All the 5 star hotels in DElhi and gurgaon came.

Placement Experience :

Our college record is always 100%. All the 5 star hotel chains of India came for the management training program and offered approx 2. 5 to 3 lakhs p. a.

College Events :

Amaranth in December was organised by our college and all the IHM of India came and participated in the competition. Cooking, Flower Decoration, Dance, Theme Dinner and other competitions were conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very Much Feasible. Approx 2 lakhs for 3 years. 35, 000 for 6 months. It is the same for all 6 semesters. Being a central government college the fees is very less.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you are the topper of the college, you will get money. If you are topper in any subject, you will get money. If you top in india, you will get money.

Campus Life :

Pathetic, Nothing much is offered by the college and are not interested too. educational workshops takes place. Thats all what this college can offer.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is in the campus only. Boys n girls separate unfortunately :p. for the first two years its on a sharing basis of 3 in one room. in 3rd year single seaters are there. Capacity of 100 students boys and approx 36 girls. btw single seater rooms are onl

Alumni/Alumna :

We do have an Alumni Association known as PIHMAA i. e. pusa institute of hotel management alumni association. But is useless because they are invited in functions but hardly anyone comes.

Exam Structure :

Exams were taken approximately 2 times a month and practicals were on a daily basis for 4 hours a day.

Faculty :

Faculty was good and knowledgeable but are not updated with the recent trends followed in the hotel industry. Students are taught very well and standards is one thing on which the college focuses on.

Placement Experience :

Placements are given from the 5th semester and there are various companies that visited the college including google and amazon that provided a package of 8 lakhs per annum. Due to covid 19 no. Of companies got reduced drastically last year. I am hoping that it will be alright after this pandemic. My plans are to start a startup after my graduation.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for campus placements in their sixth semester. The placement cell of PGDAV(M) is well reputed and around 60-70 companies visit our college for placements every year but there is not much available for students in Mathematics Hons. The average package offered to students of this course is 3lpa. The percentage of students getting placement after three years is less than 10. Most of the students opt for this course as the basics for higher studies. I too will be giving entrance exams for master after this course.

Placement Experience :

Placements of our course are not up to the mark. However, many companies visit the college at the time of the placement fair but I don't find them useful for my course. You can choose for an internship to enhance your CV

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is actually very good and provides a lot of opportunities. There is an annual internship fair also where 100s of companies come and recruit students of all years and all courses as interns and the maximum stipend for these internships even go to 10k per month for just a part-time internship. The job opportunities are there but not very good for the science stream, they are much better for commerce and humanities. There are many Tier A and tier B companies recruiting a good amount of students like VQMS, SMAASH and many NGOs also. The placement percentage is around 60% and most of the students want to do post-graduation for further growth. I have plans to do MBA after my graduation.

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester, students became eligible for campus placements. The college is best for placements. Placement fair held in the month of March where top MNCs visit our college to recruit students for jobs. Students of courses like Bcom, BBE, IT apply in large numbers. About 60% of the students get selected for final placements every year and around 80% of the students get internships from our course. Some of the companies i.e Allen, ICICI, Genpact, etc visit our college for placements. The maximum percent of students are placed after the course ended. The highest package of the college offered is 4LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top roles are offered to BCom, BA Hons students in the business department. E&Y is one of the top recruiting companies. Generally, companies come for commerce and arts background students in our college. I am currently preparing for MBA i.e CAT exam and want to be in one of the top B schools.

Miranda House has one the best campus in DU. It is the topmost college of Delhi University. The infrastructure according to me in the entire north campus Miranda House has best infrastructure. We have two buildings one is new and one is old, both the buildings are maintained in great manner. Hygiene is the main priority. The labs are maintained perfectly. The library of the college according to me is best. The food of our college is really good in taste and fresh as well.

Admission :

the college is situated in the east of Delhi region and is affiliated to DU and offers only courses related to nursing and medical fields. the college opts for the entrance test for the admissions in the college. the college admissions is based on the admission list prepared by the college on the basis of marks scored in the entrance test.

Placement Experience :

no the college doesn't provide internship to the students but there are several medical associations and chambers who visit the college campus for the placements to the students but only can make it. the remaining rest will have to look on their own.
