THE RISE OF THE PLANET OF SHE ENGINEERS
As the college is women only, we get to do everything. Organising events, fests, representing our college for the same. It's a great experiance
Of course, there are many entrance tests like JEE mains (mother of entrance tests), KEAM, CET, BITS and so on. I landed up in LBSITW via the KEAM. One needs to score decent to get the required ranking for this particular college. There were no interviews when I was admitted. I'm doing Bachelor's in applied electronics and Instrumentation. I chose it because it's a budding field. Innovations and ideas awaits it.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Since I got into the institution via merit seat, I get to pay 35K. One can also enroll via management or through the NRI quota, the fee is higher in these cases, probably around 70K. By the quality of education provided, I think the fee is a bit high.
We have a good placement record here. Companies like Amazon, Sony erricson, Infosys and Wipro among them. The average package was 8.5 lakh per annum as of last year.
They rent 1000 for the room plus the food charges . The hostel has shared rooms. Shared by 4 as well as by 2. The food is of normal quality but not as high as that we get from homes.
I've had a chance yet to interact with the alumni.
All the faculty are well experienced in their respective fields. They are very much interested in interacting with the students and their standard of teaching is also very high.
Well, the college is women's only. Which means we get to do all the jobs. Be it repairing the blown fuses or climbing up to tie the posters or organising and managing stage events, we get to do everything. The college has brought out the speaker in me. I can now confidently speak before an audience. The back to back demands of cultural programs has also brought out the hidden talents within me. It gives equal importance to all; sports, culturals and studies.
Exams and labs are basically a part of education. But being a fresher the curriculum is a bit hateful. We are being taught something which we are not interested in.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
I loved to do engineering by seeing my brothers do it. The course I choose was good but not the best. But I'm in love with this course. Since being a fresher, we're not being given any research work. And no electives also from first year.
The college do offer internship. But, I'm not quite aware of it's details as i'm a fresher. But we do get internships from second year onwards.
LBSITW mothers the queen of fests YAGNA DHRUVA. It's the intercollegiate cultural and technical fest. YAVNIKA is the intracollege fest. The organization is done by the students themselves and it's a commendable job.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
The college do provide various scholarships under the government schemes. It's also easy to avail educational loan directly from college.
