- We got good faculties to shape us in a good form, they organize numerous educational and fun events, where everyone are eligible to participate and show their tallent and skills
- Being a Hotel Management student we get very good placements
- Core subject syllabus is precise and arranged in a proper way to have a proper knowledge on the coure subjects
Dislikes
- Lacking of infrastructure in various ways, like for practical exams or practical competitions as well as events
- They don't follow proper timetable which engage students to escape classes for days as they stay far away
- Other activities except educational one are conducted most in a year which must be reduced and its of no need
Course Curriculum Overview
It creates activities related to our subjects such as cake icibg competition, dairy espo, parle champion and many more. To compete in real world we are made to do our practicals in a professional way which helps us to learn the better way of cooking experience in a live kitchen and many more facilities goes with other departments too - f&b, housekeeping and front office The university must not add any extra courses qhich are not needed at all like Introduction to cultural studies and globalization theory because this is a total time waste for the students and not to say also a harrasment as we have to give multiple exams based on our core subjects and side subjects so its not possible to focus on any oter subject which doesn't relate a bit to our course, this is not acceptable by any student of our college. The frequency of exams are good one college exam per month based on our semester syllabus and after 4 same exams we have a final exam which promotes us to next semester once pas
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities available with our college one has to be dedicated and mentally prepared enough to get that In internship we have work in four cour departments of a 5 star hotel or below star as per we get for 6 months and stipend varies from company to company
Placement Experience
Placements of our college, overall is very good. From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements There are numerous companies which visits for placements some of the top brands are Oberoi, Taj, Hilton, Leela and many abroad properties Maximum 80 percentage of students gets placements
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for degree courses is approx 440000 rs for 3 years and more for 4 year courses, we don't used to have any campus employment but recently in college a canteen is opened where students can do part time and have an respective amount as a stipend
Campus Life
Activities like Cake Icing Competition, World Food Competition, Amalgam, Techers day, Fashion Show, Jis Spirit, Jis Samman, and many more food competitions Library is good but it should be open for accesing different books by yourself, getting a single book by a librarian doesn't help
Admission
My admission was direct without any entrance examination and was smooth though i attended NCHMCT exam in which i scored AIR 3000 but due to some conditions or rules i had to take admission directly but it was fine
Faculty
Faculties are best in our college Gurunanak Institute of Hotel Management, cause they give their best to teach you, make you understand every single term and provide notes irrespective of few teachers but if one aspirant is confident and dedicated enough to grow and create a new self in a particular field then faculties are always their to push you to reach new level to learn, to create new things
