Remarks :
the infrastructure of our college is good and placements are also good.so, overall it is a good choice.
Entrance Preview :
Actually, I just want to do engineering and I choose NITJ because it is near to my home and no need of a hostel. otherwise no other reason. and coincidently I clear cut off of jee mains..that's why I am here.it is easy for category student to take admission than general students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is a course curriculum PDF present at the college site which going to help us to see the syllabus till the last semester. So it is very helpful for us and this understanding the course is a little bit easier for us.for the first year, all subjects are common to all branch students.
Internships Opportunities :
Actually, there is no main internship provided by the college itself. but there are some big companies like reliance, Saint Gobain etc are coming for placement for 4th year and internship and PPO for 3rd-year students.
Placement Experience :
Placement depends on different branches. like civil department placement is always good. but branches like mechanical and industrial production is some years good or some years bad..but this college placement is always more than other engg colleges in Jalandhar. recently our senior batch is almost fully placed.so, I think it is the best college.
College Events :
There are mainly two events per year. first is utkansh and second is technical.utkansh is cultural fest while technical is the technical fest of college.utkansh is held in the starting of the Year while the technician held in the ending of the There are also other small events.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is different for different categories. Like for SC, there is a 7000 ruppesfee for a semester, while for general category the fees are quite high approximately 45000 rupees.and for the OBC students it depends upon the income of his arhar family. Like for the annual income of the family is less than 1 lakh then the fees is 7000 Rupees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are many scholarships for the SC-ST students or also for toppers. But a single student can only avail one scholarship only. There are the different scholarship for different states also like for Punjab there is an Ashirwad post matric scholarship and for Rajasthan, there is a Rajasthan scholarship.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio is approximately maybe 2 ratio 1 for boys to girls.lans condition is not very good some equipment are not working. In the events like a technician, there are many events such like robot war etc in which the student makes Robots etc to get the winning prize.
Hostel Facilities :
Actually, I am a day scholar but according to my experience in a hostel while going with friends is not very good. Other services in the hostel are good but the food was not enough good. There are about 10 hostels in the college.there is a facility for all games like basketball, cricket etc.
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior student behavior totally depend upon us .if we try to communicate with senior students they will definitely help us.there is no chance of raging.there is very strict action against raging.
Exam Structure :
There are two minor exams and one major exam.the minor exam is of 20 marks each subject and the major exam is 50 marks for each subject.there is 10 marks for a teacher for assignments, behavior etc.so, total marks for each subject is 100 marks. and there is a CGPA system with a multiplicating factor of 10.
Admission :
Firstly we have to fill form from JOSSA which is an official site for admission of all nit's and it's.we have to fill the college and branch we need. then there is a different round where you allowed seat accordingly in your form and according to your rank in jee. beside this, there is spot round also.
Faculty :
The faculty is good in almost all departments, but in some departments, the faculty is not very good but they are only knowledge but they had no way to represent it to the students. But our overall the faculty are good. All teachers are qualified enough. All teachers are tested before joining. Some teachers prefer teaching on the blackboard while some teachers teaching with projectors also. There is always a fixed syllabus for about 4 years which is available on the site.
