Course Curriculum Overview

I have choose IIHM because somehow they have only influenced me. In my school once there was a workshop regarding hospitality that day only I decided that i have to join this industry. Overall this industry prepares student totally from top to bottom.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 283000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are two types of degree one is International degree UWL(university of west London) and the other is Indian degree bachelor's degree. I have opted for international degree UWL for which i have to pay 283000 per annum and there is only 1 lakh difference between international and Indian degree.

Campus Life

I have totally liked each and everything about the IIHM Kolkata as it is my owm college now. We students do have a iihm student app where we can get details about our academic results, schedule and attendance.

Admission

I don't have anything regarding the improvements in the admission process as the college is doing its best. For admission Search for iihm website in google there you will get the admission form fill it up then after few days you will receive the date and time for the online echat exam and interview.

Faculty

The IIHM faculty is Always on the top. Whenever i had any query i asked my tutor and within minutes he used to reply me. They are very consistent towards their students. And i liked this thing of IIHM KOLKATA

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

Likes

Our college has one of the most beautiful infrastructure. I have never seen such infrastructure in any other colleges in our town. Our clg has the best infrastructure with all the facilities required for the students.
Second thing which I like the most about our college is the rules and regulations which helps each and everyone alot. Propers rules and regulations for everything academic co curricular activities
Third thing is the faculty our college got the best faculty ever each one of them are really very helpful and kind. If any problem face the faculty will obviously help you to get a prophet solution to your problem.

Dislikes

Just one thing which the the timing as many students faces problem regarding the timing as sometimes it's too early like 7 am in the morning

Course Curriculum Overview:

If I had to rate the course curriculum then it would be 9 as this course is really good one. The college provides proper teaching facilities with the best teachers and with the help of them it feels so easy and fun to learn. There are no improvement required for this field if they will keep on doing the same thing it will really be good

Amateur turns Hospitality Professional

Along with the entrance exam of IIHM, I had also applied to colleges like Symbiosis and NMIMS, Mumbai but since I always had this passion about food and Beverages I was certain that I'm going to join IIHM and pursue my career as a hospitality professional. In terms of rejection, I was not rejected from any of the colleges I appeared the exams of, Now, after I appeared for the entrance, I was called for a group discussion and after qualifying came the personal interview round, since I had no idea what to expect and what not to expect for my first personal interview in my life and again. My interviewer asked me about Soft drinks and asked me to speak about Coco-cola for a full 1 minute, I guess, that was one of the longest 1 minute in my life. Hahahhaha But again, once everything was done, I was waiting for my results very anxiously and when the result came out, to my surprise I was very happy to know that I was the only one in the group to get selected because of my communication skills and leadership skills. The Eligibility of the course requirement has four criteria. You must be bellow 25 You must have achieved a minimum of 50% in 10+2 You must have a minimum of Arts background.
