The faculties and their methods of teaching

Dislikes

The campus is too small for the vast amount of students
The hostel too far from the college and we have to pay extra for the travel charges since there is no services from the college's side after giving the hostel some 6.7kms far

Course curriculum is good and the teachings are goood .different faculties have different methods and different teaching styelss have different openions sometimes it contradicts and we learns new and different ways at the same time from different opinions

No intership opportunity are given through the college although in our 8th semester we have to get our internship experience but all that is to be done by ourselve with no help from the college we apply for the jobs on any company or ferm and then we get our experience

Tuition fees- ?80000/yr Enrolment fees- ?5000 Registration fees- ?1000 Academic support fees- ?10000 Students activities fees- ?5200 Students aid- ?400 Security deposit - ? 20000 Hostel room rent- ?16000 Electricity charges- ?6000 Hostel security- ?6000 Sc,st tuition fees- ?40000 These are the fees structure yearly. At the end of the year some amount of mess dues comes for the meals we missed to have going upto ?10000or more or less. There are no scholarships from the college's side on merits or anyother criteria.

Campus Life

Campus life is obviously fun with friends and seniors and faculties and dogs and cats and canteens and the mess food the diarrhoea that comes after and the washroom queue and what not its fun and hectic at the same time

Hostel Facilities

The rent accommodation is a bit conjusted 3 people in a small room on the delhi heats and no cooler or ac is provided from the college side so its very hard sometimes with the suffocation and also in the heats people gets sick fast

Hostel Fee: INR 28000 per year

Admission

The college is of national importance and we did not know the course was too hard and sleep deprived and has a very small campus and a hostel at 6.7kms far and no sign of getting a new campus dues to internal issues

Faculty

5 faculties per studio class and some classes have 2 or even just 1 faculties so the ratio is around 1:50 to 1:10 . The exams are not that hard but people do tend to fail due to lack of time and other issues

Likes

girls to boys ratio in every year is nearly 50-50. A 50-50 gender ratio creates balance, inclusivity, and fairness.
professors are very friendly, and always helps in the projects personally.
all the faculty of well qualified in there respective fields.

Dislikes

the building's infrastructure can be improved
there is no air condition in the class rooms
the department closes at 5:30pm, students can't work there after 5:30pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum focuses on real world design problems, critical thinking and other software skills that are going to be useful in the professional field. but in this era of artificial intelligence, there is no academic upskilling with AI right now. professors are working on incorporating AI with the curriculum and it will soon be incorporated.

College life of a first year

Likes

The enviornment around the whole campus is built in a very nature friendly way. students can interact with various activities around the campus.
The Campus itself is built in a ver modern way, which helps students to imagine in a creative way.
As it is the main campus for the course of Architecture. alot of events are organised inside the campus which helps the students to interact with there seniors.

Dislikes

The notices having important information are often sanctioned late.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the forst year the faculty will make you do completely dumb and irrelevant stuff which is mostly not related to the real life. You will surely feel like and think in a way that why you are doing all this, but slowly the curriculum will get difficult and would have real world applications. In the starting you should improve your drafting and most importantly you should procastinate your work and should learn the importance of time management.

The infrastructure of the university and the campus.
The exposure you get studying here and meeting the students from all over the country.

There is no annual university fest conducted

The faculty is very experienced and thorough with the curriculum. The teaching methods are very good. The exams are conducted annually with sessional tests in between. Since architecture is not so easy course, it comes with its challenges but the student can tackle them with the help of faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are various reasons for which I choosed architecture as a course and the most important is it makes us explore our imagination and creativity and adds technical knowledge to support our creativity to bring it in real life. The Faculty - student ratio is 1:30, all the teachers are phd holders.

I chose the course because of my passion for buildings, the faculty is very dedicated and teacehrs put in alot of hard work with the students. The gender ratio is impressively 1:1. The professors are from good colleges themselves and the teaching methodology is that of an experienced person in the feild. Exams take place annually, semester marking is done on the basis of internal assisment.

Because I wanted to do something creative mixed with technology I chose architecture. The faculty-student ratio was perfect and the faculty taught really well. The teaching method in architecture is more than textbooks. It's much more practical.

I took AIEEE (2nd paper) for this course i opt for this college because it is the best college for arcitecture in india it ranks 1st in this stream.

I was preparing for architecture and had made it to reputed colleges like CEPT, NITs, JMI, and CET. Paralley i got B.Plan at SPA too. SPA DELHI REVIEW

Overall, there are lots of negative remarks on SPA DELHI. They do not even provide basic facilities for the fees they take. Even what little facilities that exists are very poorly maintained. The lifts does not work more often than not, the coolers for drinking water are outdated and filters unchanged, fire extinguishers outdated, poor parking facilities, no grounds for sports related activities, no air conditioners in the classroom for the unbearable Delhi heat, very poor provision of funds, non-existent placement cells, and the lists goes on....Read More
