NIU, Greater Noida
Negative- the crowd of University is something not of my taste, it is too trivial and rustic for my liking. Most of them, can hardly even communicate properly using English, although I am not making Speaking English as the benchmark for judging people, but seriously the crowd is not so engaging at least for me.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fees is affordable as per comparison to Amity and Sharda University, in fact the fees of law school is quite par with NLUs. For BBA-LLB, its 45 thousand per semester, add to it activity fees of 1 thousand per semester, making its 46 thousand per semester.
Placements are good, especially for law School. Although, for internship the hustle is real. Till now, I have done around 4 internship, and all has been self help. Placements though, the cell is lousy just like the rest of uni, but they are good. May seem not so great, but they are helpful.
I applied in the university, to which I was taken for a interview. After which, I was selected and then, I appeared for Niu-Sat exams for scholarship. There are two ways to get admission one is direct admission and other is sponsored. No donations was asked for, Thats a great thing about this university
In the first two year, I had opted for University provided accommodation, which actually is tie up between Private Hostel. The hostel location is not so connected, is in out skirts of City, which is why I left. Apart, the food was good, not tasty but healthy.
Alumni network of this University is pretty respectable, only if you know, meaning that the University has no proper Alumni community in Mind which leads to that achievements of seniors is put to oblivion, but those who make a point to connect will surely see, plethora of super successful seniors.
The faculty of this place is quite sporadic in nature, mainly on account of constant leaving and arrival of faculties. Rest, when I has joined the Uni, faculties available were impressive and even now, I do like the teaching staff here. Although, you never know about the next upcoming faculty?
This is something which I don't appreciate about this University. Law school has a moot school, but barely active moots takes place. The Sports ground stretches lusciously, and is great place to test your muscle. There is badminton, tennis court, Basketball court and football ground. Sports lovers will enjoy.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course is dynamic and is well built, but what's lacking is more of issue of University. Lack of activities is what spoils it. Again, here a year is divided into semesters , each semester has two exams, namely mid term and end term. The Mid term exam is based out of 20 marks and the end term is based on 60 marks, rest 20 marks is kept for attendance and assignments.
Niu fest is the biggest event running for the Uni, which has been really impressive with flux of celebrities adding enigma to the whole event set. Next up, there are seminars conducted on pretty much every day basics. For law school, we have the much celebrated law day.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
In the first year, I was awarded 25% scholarship. Apart, there is scholarship programme actively running. Also, scholarship has special provisions especially for the Girls. Also, for loan , Punjab national banks official desk is available, which makes taking and processing Student loans so easy.
