REMARKS
Good for Peoples/students who are already have jobs/working somewhere. Students who aren't working should not choose IGNOU. It's more beneficial to choose Regular college instead of distance mode. Go for regular colleges if you can afford their college-fee.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The College fee is very less(around 10,000 for each semester) ,so even poor can afford and continue their study. As a central university and low fee this adjusts in our pocket expenses, which make it affordable to all.
PLACEMENT WING
Few companies visits in campus drive at Maidan Garhi (New Delhi). Most companies offer Sales Job, Policy Job, BPO Job etc of package upto 2-3 lakh per year. Some companies also offers incentive based on performance.
ADMISSION
We have to fill up application form on official website www.ignou.ac.in. We have to make payment after filling up all details required. Online payment mode is also available for payment. A Registration letter is sent to you after verification of details through university.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
No , Hostel facility is not available in the university. We our-self have to arrange for accommodation & transportation facility using our pocket money if you are shifting away from your home city. University doesn't provide any facility or any help for this.
ALUMNI
Only working people should choose IGNOU for Higher Studies. Non working should go for any regular college Instead of IGNOU for Future Career Building.
FACULTY
Faculty provides counselling classes only on the weekends(Sun & Sat). We have to cover the whole syllabus through our self study. We have to maintain our attendance of min 75% in theory as well as our Lab counselling classes. A schedule of our counselling classes is handed to each student (with all details mentioned properly). Study materials are provided through university for self study purpose which is available online as well as offline for all students.
CAMPUS LIFE
No, extra curricular activities are held by the university.
EXAM STRUCTURE
Exam structure is little odd.It takes 1 - 2 months to complete one semester exam.In 1st month students appear for theory papers. After Lab schedule is released we have to appear according to the schedule after our theory papers. Normally it takes 1 month 15 days in each semester(in average) for both theory as well for lab papers.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
It covers the basic requirement from where we can switch to any technology we want to switch for any specialization. Lab counselling classes are provided at the study center, but regular practice of classes are required to score good marks.
INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES
No, internship opportunity aren't provided from college.We our-self have to look for internship opportunity. I have found my Internship through Internshala. It's quite convenient to find internship based on location and interest through Internshala. You can opt an internship with stipend or without it based on opportunity. Please clearly check regarding stipend before applying on internshala( it will be clearly mentioned there in details).
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
No, special scholarship is provided by the university. Students can apply for state scholarship form and can visit university regional center for approval/verification of their documents. It's an easy process and university helps in all ways it can for for document attesting, bonafide paper etc.
