What Students Say

Likes

Cultural Fest which is organized. 2 fest
Environment and the nature of the college.
Well experienced and educated faculty and good nature of people.

Dislikes

Only importance are given to studies and less importance on cultural.
Very strict regarding to attendance and other stuffs.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very relevant to the course and it also includes very good practicals, the practicals are very relevant and good for real world as it is relevant to course. In some subject there is writing part in practhcal period .

Class Size: 6020Course Fees: INR 160250 per year

Internships Opportunities

I dont know about the other course but b.sc forensic science has no internships, it is of only 3 years course and jss college certificate has gokd value. B.sc forensic science gives different assignments and also presentations to present infront of class

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for my course of forensic science is 1 lakh 60 thousand 250 rupees yearly. It is of 3 years course. Government and private scholarships are offered in college. They also help with study loans.

Campus Life

Campus life of ths college is good, because of nature and environment they have maintained. It feels good to sit in campus. Many activities goes during the fest in campus like flash mob. There is park like thing and have many seats to sit and have trees to chill under.

Admission

Dint apply to other colleges but according to my experience the other colleges balances the studies and curricular activities both and this college has more tension of studies to students. It becomes very much tension for students to study more with no medical leave or with less holidays.

Faculty

Particularly in my course of forensic science in this batch of 2023-2026 there are 20 students. All the faculties are good, well experienced and educated, even the phd and msc seniors who take classes are good. They are understanding. The course curriculum is relevent.

Night Life

The night life of college is good specially for the people whk have hostels inside college because of the environment and nature of college walking with friends, sitting and studying together with everyone, the canteen life is good and the samosa of canteen is really very tasty.

My Regret of joining St George School of Business.

Likes

The College Atmosphere, The Students are mostly good and unproblematic.

Dislikes

The teaching staff they're arrogant and unskilled.
Teaching is below the mark for even average as the bar.
Lab facilities are very poor and the condition ia not sterile for experiments

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Likes

Teacher are well indulged , they help you .
Very good area where students get stuff they need.
Provision of canteen and stationery given

Dislikes

Campus is tooo small for a student to even have lunch
Strict and actively don't support in athletics
Sometimes, dealing with admin-related processes like society budget approval or fest dates approval can be slow and confusing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I got admission in 2024 so BCU started SEP Batch which is totally new , and we really don't find any book to refer on the basis where we don't get help as much as we need and it's new , bsc has alot to do .

IISc at a glance: An Institute with a Legacy of Excellence

Likes

Research culture, cooperation and a distinct lack of competition
Active student bodies, cultural groups, regional groups
Friendly professors, good understanding of mental health on the professor level

Dislikes

Bad decisions taken by admin regarding mental health, such as removal of ceiling fans and attempts at coverups.
Apparently Caste Based discrimination. Seems to be a lawsuit right now.
Difficulty with time management in early semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.

REVIEW OF JSS MEDICAL COLLEGE

I choose this college over other colleges, there are various reasons some of them are due its campus placements, due to the infrastructure of the university and also its various options of having various coarses, faculty focusing on each students individually. If we compare my college with other colleges it is better in the campus space the maintenance of hostel accommodations and various tech facilities. Colleges which I applied were not as good as to this. You can online apply to the college or the through personally. There will be interview before the admission. I applied to Manipal institute, yenopaya medical college manglore and dayanand sagar university other than jss college I received confirmed admission from yenopaya and dayanand. The admission process of our college is you can either apply it online or through offline you have both option. The eligibility is you have to get 75 percent above in both sslc and 2nd puc exams. My overall admission experience was fine if we compare it to other colleges....Read More

I applied to the following colleges apart from JSSMC:- JNMC, Belgavi MS Ramaiah, Bengaluru Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi and Faridabad KMC, Manipal and KMC Mangalore Tata-Manipal, Jamshedpur Jamia Humdard, New Delhi As per my NEET Rank I had gotten admission in JNMC, Amrita (both Kochi as well as Faridabad), MS Ramaiah and Tata Manipal. I chose JSS Medical College, Mysore because it had 1) a good NIRF Rank 2) It was near Bengaluru (where my aunt lives) 3) It had excellent patient flow I didn't take admission in JNMC as it was not near Banglore, Amrita, Faridabad was new and Kochi one was really expensive, same with MS Ramaiah and Tata-Manipal had a bad review when I asked the students who were studying there In my college you can take admission by clearing the college cut-off in the NEET exam (which varies every year) and then you can opt for All India Counselling on the MCC and apply for allotment for a seat in Management Quota....Read More
