The students are always packed with lots of assigned work for each subject including working on nights along with day time. The faculties .The courses are well planned and library is full of most of the finest and expensive sources. However, the module condusted can be gradually spread across active the study hours in campus.

NIFT'S B.Des fees range from 3.4 lakhs to 3.42 lakhs per year (non NRI). Scholarships include SARTHAK (financial aid) & Udaan (merit cum means) . Fees may increase manually . At the time of admission the students are required to pay one-time fees , including refundable security deposit and an alumni association membership fee, NIFT Delhi charges one time refundable payment of INR 17,900. which includes security deposit of INR 12,000 and an alumni association member fee of INR 5,900. Additional charges such as hostel fees , liberary fees , and other compulsory charges may apply. The fees structure issubject to periodic revision. for example the total fees of b.des has increased by INR 67,000 for 2025 academic session.

Few annual fest such as spectrum, celebration on important dates such as independence day where a folk dance was performend by local people in himachal that folk dance is call "Nati". The library is full of exclusive books and sources that are rarely found and a expensive . However the library follows and regulate a strict system of assigning books to students to avoid theft or loss of books and sources.

The reason i chose this college is first, because of its location in himachal. second the goverment institute provide perks which were not there in private institutes. There is an entrance exam to be cracked to get admission in this college, conducted at different centres from all over India. I also gave exam for pearl academy and got passed in entrance but chose Nift over pearl because of its credibility being a government institute and less expensive.

The faculties were very supportive and also strict at the same time such as Mr. Vinod Sharms our HOD of fashion design department. Other outstanding faculties such as Late. Mr. Ashutosh Porus who create and provide highly creative environment for students to thrive and expand horizons. Their were guest faculties who visit to conduct module fro outside of india as well propelling oppotunities to outgrow perspectives across borders.

There was a cafeteria of Nescafe which eventually earned heavy amount. hostel facility was quite well managed with 2 gaurds at each building. As being situated in himachal the whole place was a scenary / eye pleasing landscapes. Few hang out places nearby are dharamshala and mcleod ganj. The college atmosphere at college is very organic and light hearted in evening groups of students at different places doing some activities lik playing guitar and practising drums etc.
