Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum was great and equipped with knowledge and skills needed . It helped me for my masters in uk as well . But I feel more practical implementation of that knowledge was lacking. Exams where to easy to crack . More emphasis on Pratical part should be given . Exams should be more real problem solving oriented questions to check the knowledge of student on food safety problems in food industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

We had to pay 20,000 rupees yearly and in 3rd year we got 7000 rupees back from college. We had to pay for certification exams which was taken by college. There was not other extra fee . I guess other people under SC and ST categories used to get more discounts and had to hardly pay . We had to pay exam fees additional of about 1500 rupees each semester .

Campus Life

3

In terms of campus life it was not great , it is a small campus and hardly any place for sports . The infra is also not great and there where no social clubs and all . We used to have one function named vivida where student used to put stalls of innovative things and sell and make money that was only social event . Moreover we use to have fresher events for new students and send offs . We in the faculty used to celebrate world food day and play games and earn rewards .

Admission

It's because of the course structure I choose this college. Moreover it was economical when it came to fee structure. The course had internship after ever semester which was attractive for me . Those internship where done in different food industries which made us learn new skills and which added weight to CV . Also admission process of simple even a student from commerce could get admission. You get admission based on just your 12th grade.

Faculty

2

Few staff members where helpful . But overall there used to be lot of internal politics . Internal marking was in the hands of faculty and they used to take disadvantage of those'd rights . Staff was extremely rude . Course structure was nice and everyone used to pass . But I feel more could have been improved in terms of internships and training.

Night Life

5

The campus is safe but nothing in the campus worth hanging out . College hostel where bit far from the campus and it used to have strict in time of 9pm . We used to go nearby to chaturshungi temple near to campus then pashan hill and near by was E -square mall to watch movie at 70rupess weekday show in morning also there was mc dolnald in the mall .

Placement Experience:

The college placement cell is doing great because every year of 70 percent of the student is selected through the campus. The third semester appears Student is eligible for the placement. The name of the companies is WIPRO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE, TCS, And many more small or big companies are coming. About the packages company wise TCS gives 40000 annually and the WIPRO gives 450000 and another company gives 350000 annual salaries. 70% of Students of the college get selected in campus interviews. My plan after getting the degree is to go for the job MNC company.
