Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is actually an average based on all aspects.The new curriculum i entered is little better than the old schemes of the same universities .Unwanted subjects and creditless courses are removed in this new syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Internships oppurtunities are there in the college but little low. Only for students from 6th sem onwards.Some times we face many obstacles for getting an intersnship in lower semesters. There will not be much assistance for getting internship in lower semesters.
Placement Experience
The placment is actually good here when compared to other colleges.There are many branches with more than 90% placement ratio. There are over 100 companies who visit this college for placement drives.17 lakh is the highest package offered and its by Cadence.Average package for ECE department is 5.7 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for one year is 75 k. In the first time at the time of admissionk the fee will cross lakh initially including extra fees of k, admission fee and other fees. In the later years the fee will be around 80 k approximately. On the completion of the course we will have to pay around 3.8-4 lakh under the gov/merit quota. Fee will be different if you got admission under different quotas like management NRI etc. For NRI quota it will cost around 10 lakh for course completon.
Campus Life
Compared to other private colleges more fests are there. The main fests present here are arangu which is conducted yearly ,Bharatham , which comes twicw in a year, Nautilus , Ethnic day etc.Onam celebration and christhmas celebration are also present. Other tech events conducting by various departments and programs by organisations like IEE, ASME, ACM etc are also the attractions. Library its own is a 3 storied building with a large area for reference reading studying and for other works.NCC and NSS are also the main attractions.There are cadets from these organisations who have reached upto the highest level like Republic Day Parade etc, In sports the achievements are unmatchable . All the events will reach upto interzone championships and 90% of them will also win the interzone championships.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is just an average. Rooms are little bit conjested.Looks like a 2 sharing room converted to 3 sharing room. Hostel fee is affordable around 27500 per year. Food is below average. Many problems are there for hostellers in mess. 80% of them prefer to have food from outside in many of the days.
Admission
Compared to other private colleges more fests are here. Admission to the gov quota seats are based in the ntrance exam KEAM. Cutoff for eachbranch will vary according to the year.Sports facilities and NCC attracted me to join here.
Faculty
17 is the faculty to student ratio. But i cannot see its benefit much here.I cannot say all the faculties are highly qualified even though every one has a decent qualification. But some of the faculties are highly qualified, some of them are from IIT's and NIT's.Teaching method i came across here was not as my expectation .
Night Life
Nightlife is zero here.None of us have seen this college in moonlight. Restriction for girls is upto 6 pm and for boys its 8 to 9 pm in the workdays .College timing is from 9 am to 4:30 pm.College have a decent fitness center.
