Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course at IIT Delhi are well prepared and well organised for the students... Especially for the first year students .. after first year one can choose and drop a course.. as he/she wish... There are some some course that are more theoretical that should more about pratical knowledge...the exams at iit delhi are very frequent I mean there might be a quiz or a viva or some kind of demo each coming week .. so We have to be prepared for each and every thing that is upcoming.... The difficulty of exam are moderate to difficult... But it largely depend on the professor of the course (course coordinator)....

Internships Opportunities

3

Like I am first you shouldn't that I did Delhi I don't know much about the friendship version or project report by the professors I can tell you this much that there are enormous number of companies that come for placement and internship offers at iit delhi.. Some big companies that offer packages in crores are Jane Street and optiver, world quant these are high frequency trading companies.. the first packages in crores also replacement of a letters in one do internships in them... Also if one that a offer letter from the professor of IIT Delhi he or she will get admission directly with scholarship in foreign universities as professors here are very reputable and a recognised all over the world

Fees and Financial Aid

Ok. So the year wise fee is as follows Tution fee is 1,00,000 Mess fee is 60,000 Extra(include electricity, maintenance, registration, addmission etc.) is around 20,000... There as variety of scholarship available.. First are for the sc/st students-- no tution fee.. Secondly- No mess fee for students with less 2lac parental income... Students with less than 8lac parental income get 1 lac rupees from yuva each year... This amount is to be returned after getting employed

Campus Life

5

There various types and number of vest held at iit delhi ... First let's start with Rendezvous.its is the cultural fest held around diwali... Where did starts come in the campus to perform at OAT(open air theatre).. as various events, cars ,games and fun occurs during this time... It's really good... Library of iit delhi is the home to enormous number of books,genrals,articles.. that are free to read for all iit delhi students... These book include all genre including psychology, biology, philosophy, science ,maths etc... There are several clubs run by the student council ---BSW,BSA,FACC etc(painting, dancing, students welfare, sports... All is managed by student council... Overall the campus life is really excellent and enjoyable to experience....

Hostel Facilities

4

Like there is free install covered in the room before one comes also there is a single bed for each room before coming to the room on which we have to bring on own bed sheets also there is no permission for installation of the ACS one have to bring their own coolers to the room with the feel.. the room is neither to big neither to short.. Overall rooms are good... Now let's come to the mess ...mess at IIT Delhi are really nice there will maintain and run by the committee of the hostel... The food is daily imported from mother dairy or other vendors from which we they have contracted and also the quality of the food is regularly regulated by the people and overall the mess and the food or good as compared to typical hostel...

Admission

The one reason behind choosing IIT Delhi over IIT Bombay or madras ... Is that I am very passionate to study mathematics and it's application on real world... Since there is no btech brank for maths in Bombay and madras.. IIT Delhi was the only best opinion for me... Also this branch IIT Delhi is considered to be very premium even more than computer science.. due to its vastness...I got addmission though JOSAA counselling In the first round only... And locked my choice to Maths and computing IIT delhi...I am enjoying this branch

Faculty

4

The faculty or the professors in the college are well qualified and excellent reasearcher in there respective fields... Hence there is no doubt that We are taught by some underrated teacher /faculty.. then comes students to professors ratio... It's really bad. Around 1:60... In some course it's around 1:250.. you can imagine that there is very less interactions between the students and professors...My favourite faculty till now is Sir vivek Mukundan .he is assistant professor in department of mathematics.. he taught me MTL100(1st semester course).. Most of the course at iit delhi have a similar pattern of exams that include --- 1 major , 1 minor , 2-3 quizess, viva etc... These exam also depend on course to course.. like in lab course there viva on each week and there less written exams for the.. One lab course is PYP100(Physics Laboratory)... Most of the students tend to pass the exam .. if a student fail it is due the fact that he has missed almost every class or something like that. But overall the course curriculum is very organised and well maintained

Night Life

5

There are attached gyms with the all the hostels at iit delhi.. also there are washing machines on each floor of the hostel. So there is no problem of the laundary... Cafe coffee day is a major date/hangout region near the main building for the couple... Also there is a haunted bridge near DMS... Also students usually hangout around qutub minar, Connaught place, etc... Overall night life of iit delhi is really amazing..

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
