Course Curriculum Overview
The course that i have been studying has a lot of potential and future. The curriculum sometimes feels outdated and sometimes does not align with the rapid development in the modern world. However sincere efgorts have been made to evolve teaching methods course curriculum, and it has been quite successful. The exams are conducted quite frequently with moderate level of difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
The Placement Cell of our college brings a lot of opportunities for students studying various subjects. Internships and Programmes offered by the college is quite good and useful for our future. Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, D.E. Shaw etc are some famous companies offering diverse roles along with a goof stipend. The college also offers various live projects and programs where students get hands on experience for diverse fields.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The ug courses usually cost 22-23 thousand rupees to a student enrolled under the general category. Since it is a government college, the fees does not rise often, and if increases, only by a small margin. The fees structure for reserved categories is very minimal and affordable giving a lot of financial freedom to students from the other categories
Campus Life
Our college conducts a lot of festivals and celebrations especially during the months of Jan-March. It provides lot of socialising opportunities to the students. The college library usually has all the books we require for our curriculum but are not that accessible and in bad condition. The sports and extracurricular activities in our campus sometimes feels not at par, which is a major issue
Admission
I did apply to a lot of colleges of the Delhi University like Sri Ram College for Commmerce, Hindu, St. Sthephens, Hansraj etc. as these colleges gives you the brand balue of Delhi University along with much bettter exposure and way better opportunities for future endeavours. My CUET score was not at par with the cutoffs of these colleges leading to rejection. The admission process of our college is very simple. The students have to match the cutoffs of their CUET scores and register themselves under the Delhi University Admissions System.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio in our college is around 40 students per faculty member. The faculty usually builds a respectable relationship with the students. They also help the students with completion of assignments and internals. The course curriculum is very relevant and useful, especially from the perspective of job market
Night Life
The night life around the campus is very lively. A lot of students live in PGs and flats around the campus, so the evenings are filled with students enjoying the coffee places and multiple food chains. Satya Niketan offers a great hangout place around the campus and students visit the cafes, restraunts, small food shops etc at nights with their friends. The locality is relatively safe for students to toam at night as well.
