Likes

Our faculties have tested their belief & Continuity in students like none other.
Our campus buildings are not just tall but have tall facilities too.
Definitely the best student crowd ever that one will see is at VIPS, Delhi.

Dislikes

No hostel means very few outsiders come and study in VIPS.

Course Curriculum Overview

Law isn't as tough as the length of the course is. Final years have fewer subjects and electives start taking its way. I am still in second and therefore Arts subjects too are there. As per the years passed at VIPS, the rigorous of studies also starts because our course includes mandatory MUNs and Moot participation as well.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

A criminal firms backed by lawyers or Delhi High Court is the one where we have been offered intenrships this break. So from second year onwards rhe university provides us intenrships opportunities which not many colleges provide and students are stranded to find on their own.

Placement Experience

Corporate and corporate firms and litigation and criminal firms which operates in Delhi are the ones which comes for recruitment. The only Law College of IP University that has such law placements as otherwise no other IPU affiliated colleges has placements like ours.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from Delhi and best always option for Law is VIPS, after NLU Delhi. Fees also not so high as it's 1.5 lakhs a year and just a small exam fees is all we are supposed to pay to study BA LLB at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi.

Campus Life

VIPS has three tall buildings and one is law and BCA building as no other courses are there in it. We have auditorium, a moot court a refreshment centre and most importantly a recreational room especially for girls. Our annual fest Initio is also best among all the IPU colleges and we have that in the next month.

Admission

IPU Entrance best college is VIPS, and I had a good score in that. Besides this I gave SLAT, NLAT and CLAT. Couldn't get the best colleges through those and therefore VIPS was the best possible option available for me and I am hende studying here.

Faculty

I think it's high time that we should start giving respect to our faculties. Selfless and beyond words is their commitment and VIPS have inherited faculties who aren't just committed but focussed too. Thus, all our faculties are superb and strong and their teaching is kind too. Mrs Nalini Thakur is my favourite faculties out of all.

Night Life

There are no hostels in our campus and college facilities and gates are closed by 6 pm. So by then we are free and can explore as much of Delhi and nearby places. Khan Market and Old Delhi like the Chandni Chowk and all are my personal favourites.

Vips TC is an amazing law college!

Likes

Probably the only law college in India which still has weekly test system.
Intenrships in top law firms and under top supreme court lawyers are provided through our college.
Research is given a lot of importance and every semester students have to write a minimum of 1 research paper.

Dislikes

Campus is small in comparison to the number of students that study here.

Placement Experience:

At VIPS because we are provided proper intenrships form 3rd year and most students impress the lawyers or the law firms and grabs intenrships through that. Around every year because 400-500 students pass form our college, half of them walk away with jobs in hand.

Best college for legal studies

Proper transportation facilities available in the building .
well furnished and properly built building .
specific rooms like reading room , common room etc available for group discussions.

Placement Experience:

top mncs companies hire students from our college campus . studnets become eligible for campus placement from the 5th semester onwards in our college. students are properly trained before interviews in various mnc .

Ideal Institute is ideally best for Law..

Likes

Both management and law colleges are interlinked and for events both the department work in tandem.
Our course is tough as GSSIPU is tougher than DU and that's what makes it more competence than others.
Skillset development program is done by our placements cell and therefore from second year and that includes speaking and reasoning abilities.

Dislikes

Definitely the campus size as it's one of the most tiniest campuses of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

Not many companies or the large corporate but distinct lawyers send their requirements for intenrs and jobs too. Freshers are in demand and this is why Studnets from our college find themselves placement.

GIBS: Key Insights

Likes

The faculy is knowledgeable and approachable, making learning easy and engaging.
The campus has a decent infrastructure, with clean classrooms and a well- maintained library.
Various societies and events (ZENITH) keep the campus life active.

Dislikes

The admin process can be slow at sometimes
Library seating is limited during peak hours, can be little inconvenient.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered with an average of 600000 LPA, Top recruiters include ( TATA PLAY LIMITED, RRR Legal Advisors ) I would plan to establish my own law firm after completing the course. Various fest and job fairs are organised for opportunities. Placement cell is there to provide assistance in this sphere.

Some information about MSI

Likes

The flexibility of engagement with teachers and other students. The teachers a helpful and they do provide really good data and resources for learning
The library have some really good collection of referance books along with literature. The campus isn't really big yet the surroundings are quiet pleasant.
The campus isn't really big yet spacious and their are nice cafes and food outlets around the college.

Dislikes

The traffic near the gate because of big cars and e riksha
The campus is good however there's no eye catching architecture so don't expect the students of the year kind of campus
Basic amenities are good but could be improved

Placement Experience:

The placements are good, students can beg upto 8-10 lakh or more with their efforts as well. The number of students getting placement is also decent for about more than half of the students of a class get placed. However I looking for some off campus placements due to variety available in my career.

My college , became my dream college.

Likes

This is afflicted college have its own campus and it actually feels different from other ipu colleges .
There are many societies working independently which you can enroll for other activities.
The accomodation is also given and it is pro hindu college.

Dislikes

The teachers have no experience in teaching , and no expertise
In law , there's a fake placement cell which is of zero value
The overall teaching is not good , and have to study on your own

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall law course is good indeed the college provide limited infrastructure for your legal studies and also have its own legal services clinic but there is no exposure as such as no one visits the place. The teachers should be more experienced and by this the college ranking would be much more higher than it is right now. The frequency and timing of exams are somewhat similar to that of other colleges and is deriving its exam dates from the IPU main campus date sheet only.

That there is no ragging and seniors are just like any other siblings over here who would guide you and help you to do even little things.
The faculty staff of some subjects is very understanding and helpful.

Dislikes

The college atmosphere is not very good because it creates a lot of pressure on students.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate of my college stands currently at 34% students being placed. Top Indian Law firms visit our college and give PPOs and offer letters on Day 0. The placement rate keeps on changing as many choose judiciary or litigation as their career options.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The law department's faculty members are highly qualified, and their teaching methods are commendable. They are extremely hardworking, and they go out of their way to give us a lot of exposure by taking us to the supreme court, high court, Dwarka district court, parliament, and other places. They frequently have several sessions with honorable justices from various courts. Our teachers put in a lot of effort and try their hardest to keep our standards to NLUs when it comes to organizing MUNS to national moot court competition.

Basically in the 9th or 10th, semester different companies visit the campus and most of the students got placements and average placement is 5 to 6 lakhs we are at number 12 in law colleges Nrif rank and I want to go corporate after getting a degree.

Get set start with brief info about VIPS.

I applied for Delhi Universities and IP Universities. The first criteria to get into DU is based on merit but also you have the second option ie. by giving the the-Jat exam. Though the cut-off yet goes high for general category students. So I ended up getting into the topmost colleges of IP universities in my course. IP has an entrance exam for every student and the maximum % of admission depends on the Rank you get in the CET. For my course, it is mandatory to have Maths and English in your 12th. The l the rank results higher the chance you to get admitted. The process has 3 rounds after the results. Post getting the results you set your college preferences and according to your rank, you are allotted one. If you are satisfied with the college you can get yourself enrolled but if not you can wait for the second round which goes the same way. But even if you are yet not satisfied you can wait for the spot round ie. if someone leaves that spot. The entire admission process in IP is systematic....Read More
