Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Pharmacy because the curriculum covers important subjects like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, along with practical training. It provides a good foundation for careers and higher studies. The curriculum could include more industry exposure, internships and practical learning. Exams are conducted through internals and semester examinations at regular intervals. The difficulty is moderate, and consistent preparation helps students perform well.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities mainly through pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and other healthcare organisations. Students can gain exposure to areas such as production, quality control, quality assurance, pharmacy practice and sales. Internship availability and stipends vary by company and year, so exact figures should be confirmed with the college. Projects generally involve practical training, documentation and basic industry-related tasks, helping students improve technical knowledge and workplace skills.
Placement Experience
Placements are generally available for final-year B.Pharmacy students, with eligibility usually starting from the 7th semester. Companies may offer roles in pharmaceutical sales, quality control, production and related fields. Package and number of offers vary each year, so I would not mention unverified figures. The college provides placement support, but students should also focus on internships and skill development. After graduation, I plan to pursue higher studies or seek a suitable opportunity in the pharmaceutical industry.
Fees and Financial Aid
“During my B.Pharm course, I pay ₹18,000 per annum, including tuition fees, registration, admission, development, laboratory, caution deposit and all other compulsory charges. There are no additional fees. Fees may vary according to category such as Management, General, SC/ST. My batchmates from other categories pay approximately ₹75,000 per annum.
Campus Life
Campus life is generally pleasant, with opportunities to participate in cultural, technical and extracurricular activities. Annual events and technical programs are usually conducted during the academic year. The library provides useful textbooks, reference books and academic resources. Classrooms have basic facilities needed for teaching, while laboratories support practical learning. Sports and extracurricular activities are available for students. Student activities and events provide opportunities to interact, build teamwork and improve communication skills.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in a rented PG near the college, which was convenient for attending classes and commuting. The room had basic facilities such as a bed, study space, storage, electricity, water supply and Wi-Fi. Meals were provided with a regular breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, and the food quality was satisfactory. The PG registration process was simple, and the rent was reasonably affordable. The locality had nearby shops, transport facilities and other essential services.
Admission
I chose Nalla Narasimha Reddy Education Society’s Group of Institutions because of its convenient location, reasonable fee structure, pharmacy facilities, and supportive faculty. Compared with other colleges I considered, it offered a good balance of academics and affordability. Admission was through the Telangana counselling process based on eligibility and entrance-exam performance. For B.Pharmacy, TS EAPCET is the commonly preferred entrance exam. The overall admission process was straightforward and well-organized.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is satisfactory, and most faculty members are approachable, supportive, and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate teachers who explain concepts clearly and guide students patiently. I prefer not to name faculty members I dislike; some teaching methods could be more interactive. The course includes internal and semester exams, with moderate difficulty. The B.Pharmacy curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theory and practical learning, though more industry exposure would be beneficial.
Night Life
Nightlife around campus is limited because the college follows strict timings and discipline. The library, cafeteria, gym and other facilities generally close in the evening, while hostel and campus entry timings are also regulated. Students usually relax in common areas, cafeterias or nearby public places after classes. Popular nearby spots include local cafés and shopping areas. The locality is generally safe, but students are advised to avoid travelling alone late at night and follow hostel rules.
