International Student Admissions

How to apply?

Application Portal: Students may apply online through the University application portal

Application Fee: International students: SGD 481.50

Basic Admission Requirements: following documents are required:

  • Official high school transcript(s).
  • Certification of Finances
  • CV
  • International applicants should provide TOEFL/IELTS scores.

Supporting documents:

  1. Educational certificates (e.g. ‘O’ and ‘A’ level certificates, diplomas, exam transcripts, etc). Translated and notarised copies are required if documents are not in English. By the application closing date, you must have attained the minimum qualification required for the programme.
  2. NRIC or FIN/passport (for international applicants).
  3. Passport-sized photograph. Your photo must be taken in the last 3 months. It is to be in JPEG format, 400 by 514 pixels, and file size of around 60KB.
    1. Payment of application fee. This fee (inclusive of 7% GST) is non-refundable and non-transferable. The fee will be refunded fully only if the intake does not commence. Unpaid applications will not be processed.
    2. International applicants are supposed to mail in the original notarised documents to SIM for verification.
    3. Applicants will be informed by email of the application outcome within one month before the course starts. When the students have received the offer, they must go online to confirm the offer and accept the student contract document.

Admission criteria

  • Senior School Certificate (Year 12): overall 70% and above for 5 subjects, excluding Physical Education. A pass in English to meet the English language requirement. A 50% in Year 10 Mathematics to meet the Mathematics requirement.
  • Senior School Certificate (Year 12): overall 70% and above for 5 subjects, excluding Physical Education. A pass in English to meet the English language requirement.
  • Secondary School Certificate (Year 10): overall 60% and above for 5 subjects, excluding Physical Education. OR Senior School Certificate (Year 12): overall 60% and above for 5 subjects, excluding Physical Education. A pass in English to meet the English language requirement.

English Proficiency Test Scores

Every international student, whose native language is not English must present English proficiency scores. The minimum requirement for the same is as follows.

Visa Process for International Students

Immigration documents required by Enrolled International Student are:

Passport: The expiration date of your passport should always be valid at least 6 months in the future. To extend your passport, please contact your country’s local consulate/embassy in Singapore.

Aspirants will be required to submit the following documents while applying for a Singapore student visa.

  1. ICA In-principle Approval Letter

  3. Original Birth Certificate
  4. Original Education Qualifications
  5. Medical Report
  6. Embarkation/Disembarkation Card
  7. Passport
  8. Passport-sized photograph (with white background)

All international applicants also need to provide evidence of sufficient financial funds to cover all expenses for at least one calendar year before a visa will be issued. After the submission of the completed ICA form and payment of the fee, students can schedule an interview if required.
