Royal College of Music viz; KMH is the oldest higher education music institution of Sweden. Programs, Campus and Residence

  • Swedish is the general eligibility requirement for all the programs at the graduation level.
  • Under Master’s, only 3 programs are taught in English, for others, the instruction language is Swedish.
  • The university has 2 campuses at Valhallavagen and Edsberg Manor.
  • There are many public student accommodations available for the international students in and around Stockholm.

Admissions

  • Application Form: The university holds 2 rounds of admissions for its students - national and local. For filling the form at the national admission round, the students have to use the national admission portal universityadmissions.se

  • Selection - The selection of the students is done on the basis of interview and tests, such as, G-tests, local-tests, L-tests
  • The application fee: 900 SEK
  • Additional requirements: Diploma Certificate, Repertoire List, Video Recording, Portfolio, Presentation, Written Account, Audition, etc.
  • Intake Window:
    • National – 15 March – 15 April
    • Local – 1 December – 15 January

Note: The call letter for the entrance tests is sent at least 3 weeks before the tests take place.

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for the programs is 2,50,000 SEK per academic year.

Scholarships

There are multiple scholarship opportunities available with the full-time students of KMH, offered directly by Royal College of Music (KMH), independent organizations and others such as, Royal Academy of Music i.e. KMA, etc.

These scholarships are given to Master’s program students who are in their last academic year. It covers their full-time tuition cost and is awarded to a maximum of three students per academic year. The applicants, after receiving an invitation for the scholarship, have to send a one-page CV along with a motivational letter, which is then assessed by the college staff and is sent to
