No placement is there in jipmer. U can get stipend during internship periodYou'll get to do internship in the same hospital which is actually pretty awesome as you can see almost all cases you've read in medical books. That gives a great clinical exposure. You'll get chances to treat patients individually unlike private hospitals, thus one can develop their skills a step ahead of other institute students.
Internship is a bipolar time with phases of sleep starvation intervened by bouts of interest. Work is mostly of a phlebotomist and clerical but with keen eyes attending rounds. Lot of knowledge can be imbued .
Placements are excellent. JIPMER degree is recognized everywhere and you are sure to get a job anywhere you apply after getting an undergraduate and postgraduate degree from JIPMER. There are a fixed number of seats reserved in the postgraduate course for those who graduated from JIPMER
Yes. The college provides internship and the monthly stipend is Rs.15120 per month. Interns do get to learn a lot as they are posted in all major and subjects during the 1 year of internship. But interns need to work a lot and many a time they have to carry blood samples for investigations. The only drawback is that they are not directly a part of the consulting team in the major departments. But interns get to do a lot of medical procedures and assist minor surgeries.
We do not have campus interviews . We had the brand value where ever we went from JIPMER. I had placement opportunities in various hospitals across the country.
Its medical education we do not have companies to visit us. My stipend that time was Rs.50000.
Great Opportunities in All Hospitals.
Central Government Stipend.

Overall, studying in this college is a wholesome experience. At first, the students would feel difficulty in adjusting, especially language problems. Tamil is widely spoken by everyone here. Once they learn the basics and start communicating with patients, they get a hang of everything here.by Preethika Sampathkumar
