Ans. A friend of mine provided me with a clear picture of how the MBA program is at BIT Mesra. The management department at BIT Mesra was established back in 1979 and has resourceful faculty. BIT Mesra has an excellent infrastructure facility as the whole campus is spread around 980 acres. The campus has a good hostel, well-established library, mess, good medical facilities all with a reasonable fee. The college organizes internship opportunities and guest lectures for the students to get updated with the recent trends associated with the industry. Students were offered internship opportunities in ONGC, ITC, ICICI bank, Wildcraft, NIIT, Tata Steel, etc. The college also has a good campus placement record for the 2020 batch and has an average package of around 4.5 LPA. You will be at an advantage anyway regarding the return on investment as the fee structure is very affordable and packages provide greater value. If you are pursuing MBA, you will be called for GD/PI on the basis of percentile scored in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT. Admission on the basis of performance of candidates in GD and PI. Ans. My friend is pursuing MCA from BIT Mesra and they find it to be an average course academically but definitely a profitable one in the future because of BIT's brand value. BIT ranks #16th on the NIRF rankings but its infrastructure and quality of faculty members cannot be said to be the best. Highlight: Here are some points to be noted. BIT has turned a bit mercenary with its high fees of about INR 80,000 and the administration disregards the students. The placement rate is around 90% and that's one of the best things about BIT. Most of the seniors have been placed with names like Amazon, Hero Motocorp, and Axis Bank at an average pay of INR 4.5-6.7 LPA. The mess food is average as well. Ans. Comparably BIT Pilani will offer better career options for Chemical Engineering. Also, one of my friends attends BIT Mesra for Chemical Engineering, so I have some idea about the course at the institute. BIT Mesra: In his branch, there are 60 chemical engineering students and 60 polymer students. The size of the batches does cause an issue during placements. On average, around 30% of students get placed with core companies. You may also want to consider these points. Faculty and Teaching Methodology: The faculty assigned for chemical engineering are IITians with PhDs, but their pedagogy is average. You'll be given a lot of quotidian assignments which do not have any scope of exploration. Infrastructure: The chemical engineering department has laboratories packed with flow meters, filters, and other important tools but the overall infrastructure is not up to the mark. Grading System: Getting a good CGPA is a bit difficult because of the grading system and strict faculty. In general, the program is full of average students who are not very creative. Most students mug up the syllabus to score well. As for placements, here is a table. Ans. BIT Mesra and IIEST Shibpur are both extremely renowned institutes of India. It has been seen that the Birla Institute of Technology is a government-aided institute whereas IIEST Shibpur is a full government institute. As far as the rankings are concerned IIEST Shibpur has been ranked 19th by NIRF among the top colleges in India and BIT’s ranking is 33. Admission Process: The eligibility criteria for admission at IIEST Shibpur is students must have completed their 10+2 examination with 75% marks. And the selection criteria are based on the JEE rankings. For ME the cut-off was 11669 - 19625. BIT Mesra also offers admission on the basis of NEET/JEE for B.Tech aspiring students. Fees: For studying ME at IIEST Shibpur 136,500 for the first year and a grand total of ?5.36 Lakhs. At BIT Mesra the cost of studying ME is INR 425,500 for the first year and a total of ?13.15 Lakhs. Placement: At BIT Mesra a total number of 120 companies participated in the recruitment process for the year 2019. And, the total number of 831 jobs were offered. The highest received salary was INR. 49.76 LPA Headed by a Renowned Ex IIT Director, IIEST Shibpur got the highest placement record of 72% in IT, last year. Ans. BIT Mesra , Ranchi offers very poor placements when it comes to Bachelor Of Pharmacy. The package range is not acceptable. The batch profile of students in the programme is quite comprehensive, comprising different fields. The details regarding number are : Pharmacy- 46 Pharmaceutics- 14 Pharmaceutical Chemistry-12 Pharmacognosy 8- Pharmacology-11 Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs-13 The 2019-20 statistics are given below in the following table: Highest Package Rs. 7 LPA Average Package Rs. 6.5 LPA Median Package Rs. 6.5 LPA The prominent reasons for the aforesaid position can be explained by details below: The placement cell is not quite active in terms of pharmacy leading to less companies being attracted towards the institution. The general scope of job is in the area of medical representatives offering an amount of Rs. 12000 per month. Placements are generally in non core sectors like ecommerce or consulting; as no pharmaceutical company manages to make it to the campus. The faculty is efficient but the same cannot be expected from the placements. Fee Structure is not good.It is very costly.but you can get loans at affordable interest from the banks in college.scholarships are provided on basis of merit after each semester.castes such as obc,sc,st are given relaxation in their fee.campus placement are awesome.about 80% students are being selected for campus jobs with highest package of 43 lpa,median of about 8.5 lpa,avg of about 10.5lpa.

Mechanical department is very good among all other branches. Labs are well-equipped with excellent facilities. The hostels are good, but not up to the mark. The hostel is average for the first-year students, but from the second year, you will get a single room, which is better than the first year. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned. The library is good. Food served in the mess is average. Girls to boys ratio is bad.The course curriculum is the best compared to all other colleges. Our course is very student-friendly and well-structured. Teachers in our college are knowledgeable, well-qualified and helpful. Exams are not easy nor difficult but one can find it difficult sometimes.thera are 4 exams conducted two quiz of 10 marks,one mid sem and one end sem each of 25 and 50 marks. Each exam takes place in about 1 month.

Hi Moumita, candidates who have done graduation with an aggregate of 55% will be eligible for this course only. Moreover, admission will be based on GATE score. Direct admission will not be possible.
