  • Admission to IIIT Bhubaneswar B.Tech program is through JEE Main exam score. JEE Main 2020 was conducted between September 1 – 6, 2020 by the NTA after which the choice filling process started. Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2020 exam can register themselves for the JoSSA counseling and choice filling process from October 6, 2020, to October 15, 2020. Once the portal is closed for the same, the authority will start shortlisting students based on their ranks in the JEE Main 2020 exam. Students from all over India get admission to IIIT Bhubaneswar based on JoSSA counseling except the students who belong to the Odisha category. IIIT conducts its own counseling for them.
  • M.Tech admissions at IIIT Bhubaneswar is based on GATE exam scores. GATE 2020 exam was conducted between February 1 to February 9, 2020. The result for the same was declared on March 16, 2020. The online registration & fee payment and online choice filling started on May 13, 2020, and concluded on June 12, 2020. The counseling process by CCMT ended on August 19, 2020. Now the candidates can participate in the special round for the final admission. The deadline to submit the online applications to M.Tech. CSE 2020 special round of admission has been extended till October 12, 2020.

Candidates must apply for IIIT Bhubaneswar to take admission in their desired courses. To register for your desired courses, register online by following the subsequent steps:

  • 50% of the seats in all the programs are reserved for Odhisha state students.
  • The rest 50% is reserved for students from all over India.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be selected for the B.Tech program on the basis of marks in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) followed by the JoSAA  (Joint seat allocation authority) counseling procedure.
  • M.Tech Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks in the entrance test conducted by IIIT Bhubaneswar or GATE followed by the counseling procedure through CCMT
  • PG Diploma in Data Science admissions are based on marks obtained in online screening test conducted by IIIT Bhubaneswar
  • Selection of PG Diploma in Data Science for Executives is done on a first come first serve basis.
  • Ph.D. applicants are admitted on an entrance exam basis - GATE/ NET or Written Test conducted by IIIT Bhubaneswar followed by Personal Interview.

The Institute has Tuition Fee Waiver Schemes which offer financial relief to the needy students. The scholarship is offered to the Top three toppers through an Educational loan.
