Remarks :

College management are their best when it comes to responding to any issues especially they are very serious on anti-ragging activities. It is because of their stringent actions in the past , ragging has been completely evaded from the Campus making it a best place to study. There's not a single memory where I can share bad during my stay.

Ques. Which to select from NIT Warangal or IIT Mandi/ IIT Patna?

● Top Answer By Manoj Maurya on 15 Apr 21

Ans. One of my friends is a B.Tech graduate and has experience from both IIT and NIT. After passing JEE Main on his first try, he was not prepared to take the JEE Advanced. It was so because he doesn't want to be a dropper and he chose NIT Bhopal.  Categories NIT Warangal IIT Mandi IIT Patna Course Fee 5 lakhs 8.33-10.39 lakhs 6.98 lakhs Placement Percentage 80% 85-90% 90-100% Highest CTC 25 LPA 35 LPA 31 LPA Average CTC 8-10 LPA 10.9 LPA 16 LPA Recruiting Companies Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Intel, HP, Oyo Rooms, Oracle, Reliance, Samsung and ITC Limited Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Code Nation, L&T, Amazon, Oyo, etc. Deloitte, DRDO, Oracle, HCL, HP, ITC, IBM, etc. There is no distinction between the standard of teaching at NIT and IIT, but there are still exceptions. Although they have Ph.D. faculty, you will be taught by M.Tech faculty. Mass bunks happen all time. All of this fuelled my friend’s urge to join IIT. From January, he began to study again and passed the JEE Main exam, as well as qualify for the JEE Advanced exam. He had the option of choosing from all of the latest IITs in CSE, but he chose IIT Patna Mechanical Engineering because it was closer to his hometown.  He also realized that coding was not his future. Now, on the first day of orientation, IIT will greet you in such a way that you will make a strong impression. You can find seniors to be incredibly helpful. Faculty are really nice, and they will often inquire about ragging in your first year because it is absolutely forbidden, and just for the record, the IIT Patna campus is a ragging-free campus. He adored the school, campus, teachers, and services. Since coming to IIT from NIT, he has learned a lot. Always choose any IIT you want over NIT. However, the choice is solely based on every individual’s professional experience and judgment. You may disagree with it, so always consider researching more.Read more

Ques. Which has better hostel conditions, NIT Trichy, or NIT Warangal?

● Top Answer By Anil Tigga on 13 Apr 21

Ans. The hostels of the National Institute of Technology, Warangal are quite good in terms of facilities, comfort, and luxuries. My sister has studied there and she has often told me about the experiences there. There are a few points listed below that states the experiences of my sister and her friends from their time in NIT Warangal. The hostel facilities provided in NIT Warangal are filled with luxuries and very comfortable too. There are separate hostels provided to students of different years and different courses. The students of the first year are provided with the Ultra Mega Hostel, which accommodates almost 1800 students. There is no single room provided in this hostel, and students need to share a room with other students. Almost 1500 rooms are there in this hostel. Along with first-year B.Tech students, M.Tech students are also accommodated in this hostel. It is considered to be the biggest hostel in India, comprising 9 floors. Now coming to the second years, you will be allotted the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th blocks. The 4th block consists of double seater rooms and the 6th, 7th and 8th block consists of triple seater rooms. There are 16 rooms in each block, with 8 rooms on each side. There is a separate hostel from the second year for students outside India, who got selected from DASA scores. The girl’s hostels are comparatively new construction buildings and are quite good. The third and fourth-year students are given 1000 single accommodation rooms. These buildings have excellent architecture. Therefore, this is the overall overview of hostels in NIT Warangal, which comprises different sets of hostels for different year students, with every hostel being filled with facilities and luxuries.Read more

Ques. While applying to the US for an MS, are NITs (Surathkal, Trichy, Warangal) considered the same level as the new IITs?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 12 Apr 21

Ans. No, NITs are definitely not considered of the same level as the new IITs while applying to the US for an MS. But, the fact that IITs are the best brand in India and the second-best brand are NITs, is well known to the admission committees of most of the institutions. Every year, students from the top three NITs make it to top universities in the US.  With the increase in this trend, NIT Trichy, Surathkal and Warangal are known to many institutions in the US.  Besides, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the top NITs and many international institutions also are of great help to the students. Top universities like Stanford, MIT, CMU, etc., commonly witness students from NIT Surathkal.  Therefore, making it to top-notch universities is certainly possible; all that you need is good grades, a good GRE score, good SOP, and a few publications.Read more

Ques. What made NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal stand out best among all NITs?

● Top Answer By Komal Chawla on 12 Apr 21

Ans. Honesty, discipline, and the values of the South Indian people and the states make them stand out. This might not be making sense to you, but will definitely try to elucidate the same here. Also, opinions vary among people. One of my friends studied at NIT Trichy and he has lived in Hyderabad as well.  According to him, 4 qualities that make any institution the best are - Hard work, discipline, humbleness, and the eagerness to learn. The people in the southern state's priorities have these factors more than the people in the northern states. The second point to note here is that, unless and until you get to the nerves, the people in the southern states are very calm and polite to you.  Most of the people in the northern states, on the other hand, are of a rowdy attitude. Verbal abuses are common here. The students in these institutions are dedicated to learning and so are the teachers towards teaching. Moreover, the rules and regulations are followed strictly in these institutions.Read more

Ques. Is ECE at NIT Warangal or NIT Surathkal better than CSE at NIT Rourkela?

● Top Answer By Manoj Maurya on 01 Apr 21

Ans. You will have to consider quite a few things before you decide between these 3 places. Most of my friends agreed that ECE is one of the toughest branches in engineering.  CSE and ECE, however, come under the same branch of software engineering. If you directly compare these two branches, CSE is much better than ECE.  Coming to the colleges, you can place NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal in the tier 1 institutes. You will definitely have a lot of exposure here and some of the best students are from these popular indian engineering colleges. You will also see that most of them practice computer programming and become computer engineers.  Given their position, you can expect them to earn up to INR 5 to 50 lakhs per annum. This pay will also depend on what skills you earn.  Most of the companies will not look at your academic credentials. It is advised to you to develop your TopCoder and GitHub profiles since these are the profiles that your employer will look at. Additionally, other job roles you can expect from these institutes include managers in various industries. These will highly depend on your luck and personal leaning. You can expect a pay of INR 5 to 15 lakhs per annum. However, a drawback is that these companies look at your academic profile heavily. So if you have a lower grade, it is possible that this could stand as a setback. Finally, when it comes to Tier 3 colleges NIT Rourkela is better, the job prospects from these colleges are not that great. You can expect to have a salary of INR 3 to 4 lakhs per annum with most jobs in service based companies.Read more

"One of the best technical institutes of India"

NIT Warangal is among the top technical institutes in India with good placements, good environment, infrastructure, education, a large campus of 248 acres and many more. Admission in NIT Warangal is done on the basis of entrance exam JEE Mains. You must have a good rank for admission in this college. For our batch, Admission started after the Counseling process in June-July. And our class started in the last week of July. This college has Asia's largest Hostel named ULTRA MEGA HOSTEL. Placement is pretty good as compared to other NITs. Many fun activities Like tech fest are organised 2 times per year namely Technozion and Spring spree.

It had a good ranking as an engineering college. It was recommended by some of my seniors. One of the best tier1 colleges from my stream. The admission process started with my CAT score, I was eligible for the college and after visiting the college I was assisted by the admin office for the admission process. My admission process started in the month of July 2016, and my admission was done on 1st August 2016. Well selecting college was done and prioritized by me on the basis of multiple factors. I had a quota in the Ministry of External Affairs, which gave me a pool of 50 colleges funded by the government, out of that I arranged my preference on the basis of there branding that is NIT
