The course syllabus keeps up to the level of NET syllabus alongside the basic knowledge and requirements of a biotechnology post graduate. Faculties here, apart from teaching and completing the syllabus help us to tackle every problem of life.
My course Women's Studies is a interdisciplinary course, and for today it is very much important to learn a interdisciplinary course because all the traditional discipline are bound with some restrictions but i as a interdisciplinary course students must say that we have to learn each and every course but in a traditional course like economics we couldn't learn other things like biotechnology, zoology, ecological environment but in a interdisciplinary course it's a combination of many discipline. Industrial revolution 18th century we also found in this course. One of the faculty of our department- Poonam kakati Borah, she is really kind. I'm glad that i have teachers like her.
it is up to date, but it will be even better if periodic evaluation is conducted. yes, we got to attend other events, conferences. have spent a good time learning in the dept. all of the professors were helpful.
The course curriculum is the up-to-date curriculum and very intensive which covers almost every aspects of Women's Studies. The curriculum is in sync with the NTA NET syllabus. Many seminars, workshops, excursionand lecture series etc. are continuous in the department. The faculties are also highly Qualified from different universities in India.
Yes with all the necessity and internet is also provided in the department and library with good collections of books as well and digital classroom. Everything happens on time and separate conference and discussion room
Syllabus is updated. CBCS mode. The facilities were advanced and teach well. My specialization is modern history and my teacher is very good. Her teaching techniques is very attractive. We have also Value added courses.
Syllabus was last updated on year 2016. There are may things which as a university should be updated but its not. Interaction with the professor is not that good. Its moreover the book study and that's it. Innovative is less
Our syllabus is CBCS I.e, choice based credit system. The department of Women's studies is a very good department. Our syllabus is about Women's perspective. It is a interdisciplinary subject. Our faculties are very Friendly in nature
The fee structure is quite feasible with a scholarship provided to BPL and reserved candidates based on merit and need. No extra fees to be submitted, quite a transparent system but need to improve in clear recognition and system. The mode of payment is by DD through SBI GU or online mode.
Course Curriculum -
The course curriculum is majorly decided by the UGC-HRD system in the university in consultation with authorities, but not flexible according to industry requirements. Not groomed much to provide industry-specific knowledge to the students. Mostly research-based curriculum.
80% course syllabus has been completed. Not enough industrial exposure. Faculty are good and very helpful. Women's studies, Sociology and political science faculties are good. Academics wise it's good only
