Ans. IIT Bhubaneswar and DTU are both well-reputed institutes for engineering in India. Between the branches, COE offers more opportunities as compared to ECE. However, you should choose the institute based on the branch you are interested in.  IIT Bhubaneswar is considered among the top engineering colleges in India. NIRF has ranked IIT Bhubaneswar at 17th among the engineering colleges. Admission to the ECE program at the institute is done based on the performance of the student in JEE Advanced and the minimum eligibility criteria for admission is 75% aggregate in 10+2. The course fee is 2.14 lakhs (1st-year course fee). ECE is a new branch in IIT Bhubaneswar. The first batch of ECE graduated in 2020. Before 2016, electrical engineering was a combination of EEE and ECE. In 2020, 97% of the students from ECE got the placements in many top MNCs.The average CTC offered was INR 15.8 LPA. However, the highest domestic CTC offered was around INR 43.3 LPA. DTU is ranked 2nd and 34th as the best technological university as per TES and NIRF. The admission to the program is done on the basis of the performance of the student in JEE Mains. The course fee for COE at DTU is 1.66 lakhs (1st-year fee). According to the placement statistics of 2019, a total of 122 students of COE got placement offers. The highest CTC offered to the COE students was INR 40.63 LPA.  Read more

The institute offers more than 25 M.Tech courses and the course fee for M.Tech programs is 1.66 lakh per year. DTU holds an impressive placement record. According to the placement highlights of 2020, a total of 119 M.Tech students got placement offers during the placement drive. Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering were the branches that had the most number of placements offered. The department of Information Technology received the highest CTC, i.e, 18.5 LPA. Also, a total of 30 students got internship offers. I'm pursuing B.Tech in Polymer Science and Chemical Technology(PSCT) and the real reason behind this branch was simply because I didn't get any other. But, being said that the Applied Chemistry Department under which PSCT comes in is one of the most celebrated departments of the university. The faculty: student ratio is 14:1 which is quite good. All the faculty of the Department has done PhD in their respective fields either from abroad or from IIT'S. The faculty is extremely helpful and is always ready to help students in whatever way possible be in terms of giving great academics scores or writing a nice lor. There are two exams every semester, the mid sem exams which are back to back and...

Because Chemistry was the interest to me and also a branch in DTU was not an issue for placement much like anyone can get placed in coding branch if they want to. Faculty to teacher ratio is 1:50. Faculty of my college were PhD from IITs. Currently, they are more on the traditional method. The exam used to take time and the exam was quite difficult.

        Review of DTU

        Course Curriculum -

DTU provides you the best teaching in every branch. The professors here are extremely helpful in every aspect. It has all the labs and facilities which is required for engineering. For mechanical engineering, it has all the labs and faculty too are really helpful and friendly. In tech teams and societies you will get more exposure and practical knowledge is more important for engineers. Which will enhance your CV. If you will get the computer science, IP, Software branch then the minimum package is up-to 12 Lakh and there is no limit for the maximum that will depend on your skills. Wish you all the very best guys

        DTU Engineering Physics Indepth

        Course Curriculum -

Engineering Physics course is available only in 4-5 top colleges in India like IIT DELHI, IIT MADRAS, DTU. DTU EP is performing so well in terms of placement. Also, the EP course is a mixture of Pure Applied Physics and ECE. This is an ideal course for someone who really loves to explore physics and has an interest in Electrical. It's also a great course for a Robotics lover like me. I think the faculties available in DTU EP are so great that they make every so easy to understand by relating it to the surrounding. EP is quite a difficult branch but if you have an interest in the topics taught, this won't be a great headache for you.

        All about DTU

        Course Curriculum -

The Electrical department is famous for this college with the mechanical department. The faculties are a bit strict, but it is good for the growth of students in this department. Every class has approximately 60 students and there are 3-4 different batches for the same subject. In the first year, the M.Tech. Aspirants teach the students common subjects. Then from 2nd year, PhD scholars and professors teach the core subjects. The end term exams are after 4-5 months with midterm exams in between. The passing is easier if someone studies.

        DTU -My dream college

        Course Curriculum -

As I am a mechanical student I can tell you that the mechanical department in the DTU is really good and the lab (workshop ) is the biggest among all the colleges in Delhi. Also, there are lots of machines and equipment all in really good condition. The faculties are really good and really teach you everything and share with you all the knowledge they have. There is three sections of the Mechanical Department comprises of 60 students each. All faculties are really educated and have proper knowledge of the subject and they are PhD's . The exams are not that difficult there are really easy if you are regular in class and attentive and go through the notes properly.

        Great opportunities given by DTU

        Course Curriculum -

I choose DTU because of its high ranking and good teaching faculty. The placement percentage is also very high here. The average package is quite good. The student's ratio is good but there are more boys than girls. There are more girls in software branches and you will find rarely any in mechanical or civil departments. All the teachers are highly educated from IITs and other big colleges. The exams are not very difficult. There is a mid-semester exam and an end semester exam and the teacher gives you some marks for internal according to your attendance and class performance.

Difference between morning and evening batch is only of the timings. Rest of the things are same for both the batches. However, academic calendar may somehow vary for two of the batches.

DTU being one of the finest institutes for engineering provides the greatest exposure one could ask for. Apart from academics, students get ample time to explore new stuff resulting in the development of all-around personality. Moreover, there is a society/club for every activity more than what anyone could even think of. Now, coming to academics DTU provides its students the flexibility to choose their own subjects from the very first year. So a student in a core branch-like electrical, mechanical or chemical can also take coding subjects as well according to his/her preference. The placement stats of DTU have been phenomenal in the past as evidenced by the fact that it has surpassed IIT ...

        "Cherishing experience"

College is good and provides a lot of exposure. It is not just focussed on technical things but as well as on management and non-technical stuff. In DTU, people can find a person to guide in their field of interest. The admission process is very simple just have to go through JEE Main exam and get rank as per their reservation cutoffs. Generally, rounds for admission takes place in July and classes start from August. Due to location, I preferred. Delhi provides good exposure and also college is established and known. I used CollegePravesh website for getting to know rankings and different stuff during admission.

        "Excellent College"

The study environment is easy and there is no too much pressure. One has ample time to pursue their hobbies and interests. Batchmates and faculty are smart and cooperative at all times. The college also enjoys a strong brand image among recruiters and foreign universities owing to the DCE tag. Some bad things include the poor canteen food and sports complex not being adequately equipped. Placements are strong and are better than any NIT.
