DTU Admissions
The University invites various applications for several courses in the field of Management, Engineering, and Design. Candidates much register themselves for the desired courses. The applicants can simply follow the subsequent steps to register themselves, mode of registration is offline:
Step 1: Visit the campus of the university and collect the application form from the concerned department
Step 2: Fill in the form duly by giving correct personal and educational details and attach the required credentials
Step 3: Pay the required fee of the application form and submit the form or post it on the official address of the university.
Note: The Candidates are requested to register themselves on the concerned entrance exam for admission in DTU.
Selection Procedure
DTU B.Tech. Admission
Admission to the B.Tech. programs at DTU is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in Class XII and candidate’s performance in JEE Main.
- CBSE - 40% weight age
- JEE Main - 60% weight age
The final selection of the program is based on the allocation of seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA Counselling).
DTU BBA and B.Des. Admission
BBA and B.Des aspirants get admitted on the basis of their marks obtained in UCEED exam conducted at the national level.
DTU M.Sc. (Hons) Admission
Admission to B.Sc. (Hons) is done on the basis of candidate’s marks obtained in the written test given by the university and in their past qualification exams.
DTU M.Tech. Admission
- The selection of M.Tech aspirants is made on the basis of GATE score obtained by the candidate followed by a Personal Interview.
- M.Tech. programs at DTU are offered in a Full-time mode as well as in Part-time mode.
DTU MBA Admission
- The selection of all the specializations in MBA programs is made on the basis of CAT Percentile obtained the candidate.
- The final selection is made on the basis of the candidate’s work experience, CAT percentile, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
Note: The programs require the candidates to have work experience of at least 3 Years to be eligible to apply for the Executive MBA program.
DTU Ph.D. Admission
The selection of the program is based on the candidate’s performance in a written test followed by an interview conducted by the university. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 100 marks -
- Interview weightage of 40 marks.
- The written test of 60 marks.

DTU Cutoff
Candidates satisfying their eligibility with Cutoff will only be considered for admission in any course. Delhi Technological University Cutoff indicates the minimum percentage required to take admission in a particular course. The University declares subsequent cut off lists until all the seats are filled in the affiliated colleges. DTU B.Tech Cutoff 2018 came up with 6 rounds while Cutoff for MBA students through CAT was closed after two rounds. DTU Cutoff is affected by a number of applicants in a year and the highest percentage scored by students in the concerned entrance exam.
Note: The university allows relaxation in cut off marks to SC, ST, OBC, ECA, PWD, and women candidates in all the reserved category.
DTU Scholarships
The University of Delhi gives scholarships to the DTU students. Some of them are-
- Pandit Man Mohan Nath Dhar Scholarship for undergraduate financially weak students
- Inder Kohli and Anand Kohli Scholarships to the students passing Senior Secondary School Examination with first division marks
- Madan Mohan Krishna Kaul Scholarships for the students enrolling their names in B.E Electronics/Electricals/Mechanical and Civil first-year courses.
- Smt. Savitri Agnihotri Scholarships for those who join the 1st-degree program in any one of the Faculty of Technology branches.

DTU Facilities
Library: DTU Library is a three-storied centrally air-conditioned spread over an area of 5000 Sq. meters. It also has a conference hall with a capacity of 150 people and a reading room for 300 people. It has a rich set of books collection with almost 1,23,978 books in the main library, 52,700 in General book bank, 9,057 in SCP Book Bank and 2085 received through donation.
Health Services: It has a fully-fledged 20-bed hospital block. The Services of two medical practitioners are available to the students. It also invites special medical practitioners for ENT, eye, dental care, etc., once a week.
EDUSAT Studio: DTU is one of the AICTE EDUSAT Base network centers where expert’s lectures and programs related to engineering, science, etc. are conducted.
Sports: DTU has provided the best of the facilities in sports and games for its students. It has special dedicated courts for almost all of the major games.
