Ans. If we look at the placement stats of both IIT Delhi and IIT Roorkee for Civil, the packages are not very high in comparison with other branches such as Computer science. The average package offered at both places for Civil is around INR 4-5 LPA. The department of civil engineering at IIT Delhi is known as the “Chillest branch”. You can score around 7 CGPA just by studying one week before the exams. However, you might not be getting a good place on campus placements, the companies may just reject the application form. The number of industries hiring Textile Engineers is at most 1 or 2. Studying textile engineering for four years can be quite difficult if you are not truly interested in the branch.
