  • GATE score or post-graduation degree is not compulsory to apply for doctoral programs.
  • Students in doctoral programs will receive a stipend of INR 27,000 in the first year. This amount can be 30,000 in the subsequent years of the research program.

IIIT Delhi Admission

The application form can be filled online through the official website of IIIT and the application fee should be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card. 

  • Visit the official website of IIIT https://www.iiitd.ac.in/.
  • Tap the “Apply” button on the menu.
  • Register through email id and contact number.
  • Enter the required personal information along with the supporting documents.
  • Scan and upload the photograph and signature along with supporting documents.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 1400/- through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card.

Note:85% of the seats are reserved for students of Delhi residence. The remaining 15% of seats are allocated to students outside Delhi.

Admission to the M.Tech program is a three-stage selection process:

  • Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of their marks in the last qualifying degree 
  • Stage 2: Written Test conducted by IIIT Delhi 
  • Stage 3: Interview round

Note: GATE/ GPAT or CSIR-NET score holders will get an additional advantage at the time of final admission.

IIIT Delhi Facilities

The institute is equipped with all the essential facilities for students like Hostel, Library, Computer labs, etc.

Hostel: IIIT Delhi provides accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostels. At present, there are two hostels, one for the boys having 372 seats and another for the girls with 164 seats. Each room in both the hostels is provided with furniture needed by a student - bed, table, chair, bookshelf, cupboard, etc. The rooms are provided night time air conditioning in summers, and heating in winters.

Computer Labs: Three states of the art computer labs, meant for undergraduate teaching, house a total of 200 desktops. These desktops in the labs, which are situated in the Lecture Block (3rd floor), run on 100 KVA UPS supply that is available 24x7. All the desktops in the computer labs are connected with 1 Gbps Internet from NKN and also have a backup connection of 150 Mbps running in failover mode.

Ques. When and where will the list of selected candidates be displayed?

Ans. For Admission through JAC - All the results of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on www.jacdelhi.nic.in For Admission through UCEED - All the results of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on http://www.iitb.ac.in/uceed/2017/ For Admission through IIITD counseling - All the results of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on IIIT-D Website.

Ques. I got less than 80% in Mathematics in XII, but my overall marks are more than 80%, will I be eligible for admission in IIIT-Delhi ?

Ans. No. A student is eligible only if he/she: (i) has obtained 80% or more in Mathematics (ii) has obtained 80% or more aggregate score of best five subjects including maths.

Ques. I obtained 79.99% - am I eligible?

Ans. No, you are not eligible for admissions in IIIT-Delhi even if your percentage is short by .1% or one mark.

Ques. I have 80% in Maths and 80% in the aggregate which includes Physics and Chemistry. I want to apply to B.Tech.(CSD) and B.Tech.(ITSS). Which mode of admission should I apply through?

Ans. Students having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII, willing to apply for B.Tech(CSD) program can apply through JAC and UCEED both. However, if at any point of time a candidate is getting a seat in both processes, he/she will have to withdraw one. Students having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII, willing to apply for B.Tech.(ITSS) can apply only through JAC. Ques. Is there any management quota? Ans. There is no management quota.

Ques. Is the transport facility (college bus) available?

Ans. No they do not provide transport facilities but IIIT-Delhi campus is very well connected to metro and other public transports.
