Ques. Should I prefer JMI CSE or DTU mechanical?

● Top Answer By Sayantani Barman on 16 Apr 21

Ans. Among the above two institutes, for students interested specifically in computer science, JMI CSE should be a better option. But, students having no specific preference in streams should consider Mechanical at DTU.  The table below gives a brief level of comparison among the two departments of the institutes. Particulars CSE at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Delhi Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU) NIRF ’20 Ranking 28 36 Total Fees (B.Tech) Rs. 64,600 Rs. 7.8 Lakhs Median Salary Offered Rs. 7.2 LPA Rs. 9 LPA Total Number of Seats 70 185 Key Highlights: As discussed above, students interested in Computer Science and IT should take JMI CSE, which generally has some decent opportunities. The top 7% of the batch gets more than 7 LPA package salary in JMI CSE. Students having no specific preference can choose DTU Mechanical, which provides a large amount of exposure inside the campus, along with several good opportunities during and after the course. Students at DTU Mechanical usually get a 7.5+ LPA package offer in some of the best companies working in the core mechanical sector. The course of DTU Mechanical is considered to be one of the best in India. JMI has much lesser fees than DTU, which makes it a lot of a more preferred option. For students successful in getting a decent placement offer at JMI, it provides a much better return on investment than DTU. Considering all the above factors, both the institutes have their own set of advantages and are worth considering.Read more

Ques. Which is better for a BA LLB: Jamia or AMU?

● Top Answer By Yashmeet Grover on 01 Mar 21

Ans. Between Jamia and AMU, AMU is the preferable choice. The only drawback of AMU, as a law college, is its location. It is situated in a semi-urban area. This constricts the sea of opportunities that can come along the way if they were located in a completely urban area. Despite the locational disadvantages, you should keep AMU as your first choice. Here are the reasons why. AMU: Culture: It has a distinctive culture, unlike any other college. Faculty: The professors appointed have years of experience, they are one of the oldest members among the multiple law colleges across the globe. Ranking: In recent years the ranking for AMU for Law is as follows. 13th for LAW by NIRF’20 11th for LAW by Indiatoday’20 8th for Law by Indiatoday’19 JMI: Coming to Jamia, the first problematic area of this college is the lack of dorm facilities. Students face, consistently, hostel-related issues. Unlike AMU, Jamia doesn’t have a distinguishable culture on campus, which equals dull campus life. The courses offered by Jamia are as follows.  Five years integrated BA LLB course Four semester LLM course in three different streams i.e. personal law, criminal law, corporate law. Ph.D. program. The scoring of Jamia, based on different aspects is - Reputation- 11 Academic input- 12 Student care- 11 Infrastructure- 12 Placements- 13 Perceptual rank- 12 Factual rank (2020)- 9 (NIRF) Therefore, from the above discussion of facts, it is safe to say AMU should be the first choice.Read more

Ques. Which is the better choice for a BA LLB, Jamia, BHU, or AMU?

● Top Answer By Rohini Mishra on 01 Mar 21

Ans. There are a few law colleges that have been tagged as the “traditional law universities” due to their long history & renowned law faculties. The colleges which fall under this category are- AMU, Jamia, BHU, and GLC Mumbai & DU. although, the reputation of NLUs and their performance can never be surpassed by the above-mentioned law colleges. These universities are well-known & have great faculty that comprises jurists, lawyers, & academicians but their growth rate is slow. They have been able to walk parallel with the changing scenarios in the field of law, including a major deviation from the corporate law field. You need to make the decision about college by keeping in mind what you want to do in the future. In that, the discussion below can be helpful.  Aligarh Muslim University: Recently, AMU is in the limelight due to the high selection rate of its students in the judicial services examination. Also, AMU produces academically high qualified students. The number of people from AMU who have traveled abroad for an LLM degree is less, but nevertheless, it’s an achievement that can't be ignored. There is no placement cell at AMU faculty, which limits the internship opportunities. Since AMU is close to Delhi it makes it convenient for the students to seek internships outside the campus. AMU focuses more on acquiring core law knowledge. This might not be of much help when it comes to practical law (Litigation). However, the competitive environment on the campus helps in clearing competitive exams like judiciary exams, DJs, UPPCSJ. At the end of the day, one needs to decide what they want to do, likewise, choose the kind of knowledge they need. The atmosphere of AMU is not conducive for growth unless the student takes the imitative on its own. The student has to look for internships by themselves without being dependent on the college. Jamia Milia University: There are certain similarities between Jamia and AMU, except for the location. Jamia is located right in the heart of Delhi, thus making it easier for internship opportunities for students. Delhi is a place in terms of developing a legal perspective, therefore widening the exposure of students. The culture of Jamia, along with the enthusiasm for internships is quite lively. Jamia, like AMU, doesn’t have a placement cell on campus. Thus, restricting the job opportunities from the corporate sector of law. BHU: BHU has a placement cell for its students. BHU has kept up with the upcoming trends. A proof of this is the introduction of a 1 year LLM course. This hasn’t been adopted by the other two colleges yet. So, keep these things in mind and decide for yourself.Read more

Ques. What is a better college: Jamia Millia or BIT Sindri?

● Top Answer By Sethuparvathy S on 19 Feb 21

Ans. I have friends in both the colleges, Jamia Millia and BIT Sindri. Here is a brief comparison of the two institutions. JMI Btech has a 100% placement record. JMI also offers better faculty, infrastructure, academic environment, and extracurricular activities.  BIT Sindri used to be quite reputed previously. But the infrastructure of the institute is not up to the mark. Many of my friends left the institute just because of the poor hostel facilities. And those who are still at the institute complain about the poor salary package offered in the placements. The environment of the institute is also not that great, other than the college.  Despite these facts, you will find good reviews about BIT Sindri on different social media. These reviews are out of love for the institute not based on facts. There is no way you will find the same facilities as JMI, at BIT Sindri.Read more

Ques. Which is better, ECE in JMI or IT in NIT Srinagar?

● Top Answer By Simran Nigam on 14 Jan 21

Ans. Both courses are entirely different, so it all depends on you and in which field you are more interested in. Both the institutes are well-reputed and offer similar facilities. If you are not particularly interested in a specific branch, you should choose IT.  As a branch, IT has less workload as compared to ECE. The course curriculum and syllabus are also easier for IT.  IT offers more placement opportunities as compared to ECE. NIT Srinagar has a good placement record for IT and CSE and other branches as well. According to the student reviews, the faculties for IT at NIT Srinagar are great. In the final year, the institute offers coaching for GATE from at least 3-4 months before the examination. You will need to complete at least 3-4 projects during your degree. The table below shows information regarding ECE in JMI and IT in NIT Srinagar. Particulars ECE in JMI  IT in NIT Srinagar Average CTC 5-8 LPA 7-8 LPA Placement Rate 80% 75-80% Total Fees INR 64,600 5.3 lakhs   The decision ultimately depends on what you are more passionate about or are looking forward to studying.Read more

Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university located in Delhi. It is a very good university in terms of academic. The campus of JMI is so beautiful, well maintained. One negative about JMI is that very few hostels are available. Overall, all the facilities are better but the Law faculty is the best.

    Remarks :

Jamia is a good central University and has a good ranking in engineering too. It has some good professors. It is highly affordable. Overall it is a very good govt college with a very large area. It provides good quality education with a very small amount of money. The placements are also pretty good. Almost every student gets placed. Most of the ECE students were placed in service-based companies such as TCS, Wipro etc. When I took admission, Jamia conducted its own engineering entrance examination. But now the process has changed. Jamia started taking admissions on the basis of JEE Mains score.

There are very few good colleges in India for psychology and Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the best colleges in India for that. The faculty of the college is very nice and helpful. The student crowd is also very good. People from different ethnicity come to Jamia Millia Islamia to pursue their education. This includes both national and international students. This is one of the best things about the college that there is diversity in the college which helps in learning new things about different cultures. This and the high quality of education was the reason I chose this college. I found out about this college via collegedunia.com.

Jamia Millia islamia is very good University. The faculty members here are good and cooperative with student. The bad thing is that Hostels are not available here, students have to take their own room all over. Reason for preferring this college is fee structure. My JEE rank is suitable for admission in Jamia and also my family to affored my fees that's why I prefer this colleg. I visit official Jamia website www.jmi.ac.in and also Collegeduniya to help which college is more suitable for me.

    Remarks :

I choose this college Because I heard so much about this college. It is quite famous and it has a good reputation. Another plus point about this is that it is number one ranked ( 2020 ) central university . Apart from academic development, a student also encounters social and political development here. It has some of the best courses in india and some are normal. Here we are talking about B.sc , it is not good as compared to other courses of university like B.tech, MBA , Law, Mass communication etc. The admission process is entrance based and test occurs in may-june every year. Other details like admission form or dates can be found on university's website. Being a central university, it has very low course fee as well as hostel fee .

    "My college experience"

I attended Jamia Millia Islamia because of the reputation that this institute bears, and the long list of alumni that have had successful careers after passing out from Jamia. Even the faculty in the Mass Communication department is well experienced and has worked in the required fields which helps during the classes, and helps students get a grasp of the realities of the industry. The third step was the personal interview, where one has to present their work portfolio if any. Th

One of the good aspects of this college is its location. This college has a good placement track record but its placement in civil or mechanical is not so good. The admission process is very simple, we have to apply for JEE MAINS and apply for Jamia admission on the Jamia website. we all know about MAINS dates and Jamia admission form filling starts in February. The admission process starts after the result is declared by JEE MAINS. The college release list of students for the admission process in the month of June-July and in that list they provide data and documents required for admission. I prefer this college because it has a good placement record for the electrical department and being
