Ques. Should I do a BBE from Delhi University or bachelors in economics from Delhi School of Economics?

● Top Answer By Ayan Dey on 21 Jan 21

Ans. The point which needs to be addressed at first is that Delhi School of Economics doesn't provide any BA Economics course as of now. Though, many of the other colleges under Delhi University offer this course. The admission procedure starts with the evaluation of the performance in 12th standard boards. Both BA Economics and Bachelors in Business Economics (BBE) indeed provide great career opportunities. Though, few factors need to be considered before making a choice. Here are some of the factors mentioned below. Firstly, the question arises in the mind is about the enjoyment one gets while practicing maths. If the answer is no, then it is highly recommended to go for BBE as BA Economics includes a lot of maths. Secondly, it is regarding the interest in learning about the working of economy or functioning of a business. Students keen to learn about the working of economy should opt for BA Economics while students interested to know about the functioning of business may opt for BBE. Then it is about the future aspirations. If you are interested in research, teaching, and academics then opt for BA Economics. Though, both BBE and BA Economics are suitable options for those who are heading towards the corporate sector. Finally it is your decision to shape the future. You need to be certain about your future goals. If you are opting to pursue MBA, you can go for any of the two courses available. Though, students who are willing to pursue MA in economics, should definitely pursue BA Economics without any doubts.Read more

Ques. What is the difference between a BSc (Hons) from Delhi University and a BSc (Hons) from Doon University?

● Top Answer By Janvi Bhambri on 21 Apr 21

Ans. BSc (Hons.) at Delhi University and Doon University have several pros and cons in themselves. Both are esteemed institutions, with some differences in the campus environment, facilities provided, etc. The points below are a quick comparison in several matters related to the institutes. Faculty: Delhi University has an excellent faculty base when compared to Doon University. Teachers in Delhi University are mostly Ph.D. holders and are having years of experience.  In Doon University, professors are mostly quite inexperienced. Even professors of Doon University teach irrelevant topics that are of no use in the current industrial standards. There are few good teachers at Doon University, but the count is quite less in number. Peers: In Doon University, the surrounding peers are generally found non-serious and time-wasting wards. The reason behind this type of student base is the simple admission test, which is quite easy to pass. Most students at Doon University are found to waste their valuable time on useless stuff. But, there are quite a few exceptions where students are found to be serious at Doon University too. Students in Delhi University are some of the most serious students in Delhi, where there is a good peer-to-peer learning opportunity. Students here are found to be serious about their future, preparing for government exams or higher studies. Environment: When it comes to the environment, Doon University is a clear winner. The campus of Doon University is covered with lush greenery and ample nature all around. There is almost no traffic near Doon University, thus causing no air or noise pollution. The North Campus of Delhi University is situated in an extremely polluted place, with no greenery inside the campus. Competitive Exams and Placement: At Doon University, there is an excellent peaceful atmosphere and ample time for preparation of competitive exams like UPSC, SSC, or CDS. For exams related to higher study like JAM, GATE, etc, Doon University is a good option.  For placements, Delhi University is the right choice. There is no separate placement cell for B.Sc in Doon University. Students from Doon University need to sit for pool placement that takes place in nearby universities. Considering laboratories and other facilities, Delhi University is on a slightly higher side. Overall, for students interested in higher studies or government job-related exams, Doon University is a good option. But for students looking after a good placement, peers, faculty, and city-life, Delhi University is definitely a better option. Considering research-related works, both the universities are not suitable in this regard.Read more

Ques. Which is better a BCom Hons in DU, BMS SSCBS or BBA from NMIMS?

● Top Answer By Siripuram Akash on 05 Oct 20

Ans. A degree in BMS and BBA are both professional courses that are more application oriented and can be easily aligned with your future goals, as compared to BCom. Ranking DU: It has been ranked at the number for commerce by India Today in 2020, offering the best commerce programs in the country. SSCBS: It is the second-best business school in India at the undergraduate level and is the only institution to offer specializations within the BMS degree. Whereas, Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad is a private institute and a constituent of Symbiosis International University. The institute has NAAC accreditation with an ‘A’ grade. Both the universities are reputed and have been constantly working towards making the students experience better in terms of education, college life, and placement. Here are some of the factors that will guide you further in choosing between these two institutes. Admission: DU conducts the LLB entrance test and those who want to get into Symbiosis Hyderabad are supposed to clear the SLAT examination. Placement: Symbiosis Hyderabad: Since the first batch graduated from the institute in 2019, it is difficult to comment on the statistics. However, more than 87% of students get placed every year in top-tier legal firms ever since from all the departments of this institute. Some of the top companies that offer internship and job placements to the students include Fox Mandals, Oyo rooms, Cyient, Tatva Legal, KSK, Bajaj Allianz general insurance, and more. The highest and the average packages that are usually offered to the students remain to be around 12 LPA and 5.6 LPA. The minimum offered package varies between 3 LPA to 4 LPA. DU: The placement cell of the university helps the students get placed in companies and get internship opportunities. The highest and the average package remain to be around 9 LPA and 4 LPA. Internship opportunities are provided to the students. During their internship period, they get corporate exposure as well as the experience of working with top lawyers of Delhi. The recruiters are mainly local law firms and NGOs. Here are the major factors that will help you make a decision. Both the institute offers decent academics for Law studies along with good placement opportunities. So, choose according to your convenience.Read more

Ques. What is the difference between the Delhi school of economics and Delhi university in perspective form ma in economics?

● Top Answer By Siripuram Akash on 05 Sept 20

Ans. Delhi School of Economics is a highly sought after college for MA in Economics which is affiliated to DU. However, DSE is not the only college under DU that offers a MA in Economics. There are few other colleges like St. Stephen College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College, Hans Raj College, etc that also offer MA programs in Economics.  The entrance exam for the program at DSE is the same as the rest which is conducted by DU. Candidates get selected to DSE or other DU colleges based on the merit list formed by DU.  However, the career prospect and placement opportunities at DSE is better than the rest. The placement rate of DSE is around 80-90% each year and the average CTC range between 6-10 LPA.Read more

I choose that because I have previous knowledge and I want to explore it more. All faculties are good and very supportive and in my class, there are 40 to 50 students. Faculties are well qualified with PhD, BEd etc, and their teaching methods are easy p understand. Term exam was always on time and it easy to pass if you study well.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course becoz I always think I am good at speaking English and further I can definitely choose it as my career. I had never attended any class because it is open college so I have zero idea about student ratio but I do know some of the faculty members due to online classes. And faculty members are good I mean they are highly qualified and also they know the way of teaching very well. Most of the teachers are PhD holders and the way of teaching they have is pretty awesome they not only focus on strong students they make sure that the weakest student should understand everything. When talking about exams it is never on the same day. Every time exam gets postponed for about 2 to 3 months and then they take papers. Exam paper is not that tough it is between easy to moderate usually.

The faculty is good enough and very friendly. Teachers help the students in any way they can, Some of the professors also have written books on the history of India and the world. The term exams are held once every Six Months and it is fairly easy for the time given for us to prepare.
