Right now fee structure is expensive but when I got admission that time fee structure is feasible . Fee structure is decided by MHRD NIT councils. So I think fee should be reduced. If fee is kept as high then facility for students should be increased .
According to me course curriculum is good and according to provided information on website. In civil engineering, course curriculum is better any subject is very interesting. So according to me course curriculum is better and need for students that they should go in deep of subject.
Fee structure pf one year is about 1,35,000 around. As students are having highest percentile coming, financially weak student will be awarded Scholarship. Also college provide a scholarship to student who need money and so many scholarship information provide by faculty and senior.
In the first year you would learn every aspect of engineering and without any Specific field you would seat with all field student and interaction become more with other student. After first year , you will learn about your specific branch, not that much deep but introduction of your branch subject. Third and fourth year you will learn different subject with good amount of knowledge which is also helpful in industry. Apart from that if you want to learn other branch subject you can have elective subject option also. so ,overall Good to very good Course curriculum.
Fees as compared to most institutes are very less. Currently, I have heard fees has increased. Kindly review the fees as I am from 2015 batch where fees per sem were 35000/-. In all as compared to private institutes at that time the fees were very low. One can take a loan and pay back after four years & many of us taught local students in Surat for AIEEE & then JEE Advanced as many students wanted to join SVNIT (Local factors).
The course curriculum is rigid but mostly you would be able to cover most courses through NPTEL & other MOOCs. Focus is very less on research as most of students are not interested in taking the same . The Mtech & PhD people are also not inclined towards research as they would take faculty job in SVNIT after completing M.tech & Ph.D. In order to have good research experience, one can join clubs like Drishti. SAE etc.
For middle class student like me it is little expensive SEM 1 has fees 82500 and s 2 has 62500 fees per semester, and hostel fees 50000 extra but i got full fees refund due to less income.First of all SVNIT is a central government funded college, GTU or any other state government authority does not interfere with its working. Process of admission to any NIT is made fully online. You have to register yourself at JOSAA or CSAB.
It's is heaven for learners. First of all SVNIT is a central government funded college, GTU or any other state government authority does not interfere with its working. The process of admission to any NIT is made fully online. You have to register yourself at JOSAA or CSAB.
It's basically government college under MHRD. So you get all the benefits which government proposes. Fee structure is feasible. It's not too much or not too less. Fee structure is for per semester basis. It is fixed for all four years. It also includes tuition fees and exam fees.
Actually it is really good. We got to learn subjects from all other branches in the 1st year. From 2nd and 3rd year onwards we got to choose 1 elective subject.Proffessors teach such that ,while studying one can develop interest in his/her favourite subject. So, we had decent curriculum overall.
Fees are generally high compared to the other colleges but we get remission as well.Around 1,65,000 is the expenditure per year includes college as well hostel.
Chemical engineering is just amazing. It has efficient faculties, infrastructures and much more things. We also get enough time for practicals per week. The institute doing many research projects.Even the ISRO gave one of its project to our college regarding satellites manufacturing.
As I am from a middle-class family it took me around 50,000 approx since I belong to sc caste. Hostel fee is nearly around 30,000 and college fee for me is about 20,000 and 4000-5000 for some other expenses.
Its actually getting quite difficult for me. we all are aware how much nits and IITS tend to give attention to practical knowledge as it gives to theoretical knowledge. There have been several research initiatives taken by our college. There are many elective options as GS, SGS, SS n many more.
First Year FEE:1st semester:- 80500 fees of 2nd,4th,6th,8th semester is 62500 fees of 3rd ,5th, 7th is 65500. Important: If your family income is less than 1 lakh per anum than you get full remission of fees. and if income is 1 lakh to 5 lakh shall get 2/3 fee remission of total tuition fees .
Our course is decided by MHRD for B.tech degree. Our Course is well assembled for great learning through practicals. most subjects are related to other subjects of other semesters. Some subjects go further in more deep so great chance to research on such topic.
The fee structure is feasible, not so expensive. My fees is 70,000 Rs per annum (I belong to general category) but for those who enroll from 2016 onward their fees is raised to 1,25,000 Rs. Whereas for SC, ST and physically handicapped students get full fees waiver. Even the remission of fees is done for economically backward class. the fess is divide into Five years. It has to be paid at the beginning of the year.
The course curriculum is quite good, it is similar to NET GATE exam's syllabus in many ways. But, I found that many things in the curriculum are repetitive from semesters. other than, it is fine. it includes the electives such as industrial engineering which is of mechanical department and computer programming which is of Applied maths department. In the final year, we have to select from two electives: Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry. the curriculum is good from the research point of view
Fees have been raised by 100% from year 2015. The recent fee structure in given below. 1st sem - > 53000 2nd sem - > 35000 3rd sem - > 39000 4th sem - > 35000 Hostel Fees (latest numbers) 1st year (Sarabhai Bhavan Hostel - Hostel No. 7) 28300 (Includes 6 month of Mess fees) + 14000 (Mess fees of the last 6 months) 2nd year (Gajjar Bhavan Hostel) 33800 (Includes 6 month Mess fees) + 15500 (Mess fees of the last six month) Compare to other colleges in india, this is quite feasible bot expensive at all.
I would give 6.5/10 to the course curriculum. The curriculum needs to more focused to the specialization (There were some useless subjects for VLSI engineer only because of lack of faculties). Add more courses, labs and projects suitable for VLSI and Embedded Systems like low power VLSI, SoC Architectures. Also the course of Embedded systems needs improvement.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. Our team will look into it.
