  • Eligibility: Intermediate with at least 50% marks and Biology as main subjects.

  • Selection: On the basis of merit in the Entrance Exam conducted by University.


Courses 2: Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H)

  • Specialization: Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Extension Education, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology.
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Eligibility: Intermediate with at least 50% marks and Biology as main subjects.
  • Selection: On the basis of merit in the Entrance Exam conducted by University.


Course 3: Postgraduate Program in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (M.V.Sc & A.H)

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Specialization: Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Extension Education, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology.
  • Eligibility: Graduates in Veterinary Science with minimum 55% marks or equivalent (relaxation as permissible for deserving categories).
  • Selection: On the basis of merit in the Entrance Exam conducted by University.


Course 4: Ph.D. in Veterinary Science

  • Duration: 5 years
  • Specialization: Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Extension Education, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology.
  • Eligibility: Masters in relevant discipline.


Note: There will be no entrance test for admission in Ph.D programme.

LUVAS Admission Process

LUVAS Admission is done through an entrance test. The university conducts different exams for different programs.

  • The application form is available online. Candidates can download the application form by visiting the official website.
  • Fill the application form with the relevant and required details.
  • The entrance test fee includes counselling fee also.
  • Filled admission form must be submitted through post/by hand in the office of the Dean, PGS, LUVAS, Hisar by the due dates.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test which will be conducted by LUVAS.
  • Verification and submission of all the original documents along with self-attested photocopies at the time of document verification.
  • Deposition of fees and other charges.
When is LUVAS Entrance Exam Conducted
LUVAS Entrance Exam is conducted in month of July- August every year for Postgraduate examination and in month of May-June for Undergraduate examination.

LUVAS Placement

Student counseling & placement cell has a mandate of guiding the students in overall personality development enabling them to undertake multifarious activities related to animal welfare.       Ours is a proffessional college, in 5. 5 year programe, 4. 5 years study + 1 year of internship. The interns work in different departments of the college and clinics like surgery, medicine, pathology, animal farms etc. thus we gain thorough practical knowledge of our field. After degree we have a lot of opportunities like working as a veterinary surgeon in govt. and private sectors, pursuing post grad. working in nutrition industry, in public health sector etc.

      I got 26rank (77marks in vldd) in general category.but 12students of BC got more marks than me. So kya woo BC walay general quota mein aangay ya sc BC k quota m.overall rank 39th h mera plz tell me ki mera admission hoga ya nahi.
