Many multinational, as well as local companies, visit campus for internship and placement. These include Amazon, Flipkart, cadence, airtel, Jindal, Samsung, Maruti, escorts and many more.80% of students get placement every batch on campus.
Admission was based on JEE mains rank through hstes. The first candidate has to register for admission in hstes then merit list was out on basis of mains rank. There were three rounds for admission followed by physical counselling. If you were selected for any course in the first three rounds then have to visit University for document verification and fees submission. After these, physical counselling was there. You have to fill separate form for that. If you were eligible for any branch change or any course, the document was verified at the spot and admission done after fees submission.
I chose this college beacuse I was selected in this college and I had no other college to get into at that time due to my rank in JEE Mains. Also, the college is rank 2nd Best Engineering College in Haryana. The admission process is smooth to get into the university. But you have to do every bit of hardwork and smart work in order to get good scores in the university. You have to focus on self-development and also have to self-initiative if you want to learn and grow in the field of technology.
No, The selection for engineering is solely based on the rank and marks secured in JEE-Mains. If you opting for any other course such as Msc, MBA then you have to go through their National Entrance Tests such as IIT-JAM, CAT respectively.
Placements are excellent for CE and IT branches. Most of the students get placed from these branches through campus placements. Big companies like Amazon, Samsung, Adobe etc carry out their placement drives.
ECE placements are also quite good companies like cadence, STM microelectronics comes here for placements and internships during the 5th and 6th sem.
Core branches like Mech and EL don't have a good placement status nowadays some students get placed through campus placements rest of the students prepared for GATE examinations. In fact, the GATE record is quite good for this college. Many students have cracked gate with flying colours.
Here are a few of the details I want to mention about my college JC Bose UST Faridabad (formerly known as YMCA UST)-
Admission was entirely based on the respective JEE MAINS rank of students. First, we have to submit the application form and counselling fees on hstes website. Then there are two online rounds for admission. If you get selected visit k college pay the fees. If you are not selected after two online rounds two more rounds were held offline. You to apply again for University pay the fees and then you can sit into the offline admission procedure.
1. Best college after NIT KKR in Haryana.
2. Good placement record. (excellent for computer related branches).
3. Workshop is there for core branches to provide practical knowledge throughout the course.
1. Small campus and infrastructure.
2. Placement record of core branches is just fine.
3. Hostel is given to first year students only due to lesser space.
The students are eligible for placement in their 4th year. Many companies come here for campus placement such as amazon, Flipkart, TCS and many more. Last year the highest package is 28 lakh from IT branch offered by amazon. The average package range from 6-8 lakh for CS/IT branch and for other it ranges between 3-6 lakh. Mechanical package is also very good in our college about 5-7 lakh. 95% of the students are placed in cs/it branch. Overall almost 80% of the students get placed in our college. If you are deserving you will be easily placed with a good package. I am personally planning to get placement from our college in a tech company.
JC BOSE UNIVERSITY is popularly known as YMCA. The good side of this university is that is located in Delhi NCR. The placement here is quite good. Almost every student is placed from the top branch (CS/IT). The overall placement ratio is very good. The best part of this college is its fees. Almost in 3.5 lakh, all your BTech degree is completed. The bad part of YMCA is its campus size. Don't expect a very big campus size while joining this. The campus area is only 20acre also the bad part is that hostel is only provided for 1 year in case of boys but for girls, they provide for 4 years. Our college admission criteria are based on Jee mains rank. To get admission here one has to participate in online counselling done through HSTES. I mainly preferred this college because I was getting computer science here and also its a value for money college. So if you are not getting top branches in NIT do prefer our college. It's 2nd best in Haryana after NIT Kurukshetra.
Placements start from 7th sem itself. Airtel, Samsung, cognizant etc visit every year. Highest package last year was of 25 lakh per annum. 80% of Students get on-campus placements. Placements take place in a very smooth manner.
YMCA is right below Escorts Mujesar (violet line) metro station so it is extremely convenient to reach. I preferred this college over others because it has a good placement structure of about 10-12 lakh per annum. The girl's hostel is spacious, hygienic and the mess food is really good as the food ranges from idli, chole bhature, sandwich to aloo paratha. The university's clubs are it's essence and gives a full exposure to college life.
Students are eligible for campus placement from the third year. Around 65 companies visit this college every year for campus placements. It includes many big companies like Amazon, Samsung, Maruti Suzuki etc. These are the companies which hire a large number of students and offer them the highest packages. The highest package offered in this was around 28 lakhs and the average package is around 4 to 4.5 lakhs. Almost 90% of students got placed from this college. The future in the private sector would be bright you are a YMCA student.
The teaching faculty of this college is very good. The admission process is simple. We have to register on hstes website. And then they will publish the result whether we are allotted a seat or not. In case you are not allotted a seat, you can go for the spot round counselling with all the required documents told on the official website of the college. The infrastructure is not so good but the placement is superb especially for Computer Science and Information Technology. The mechanical branch is also very good at this college. Top companies like Amazon, Samsung, LG recruit students from this college.
This is the best and the fees is very less also there are very good and supporting teachers. Also seniors are very good in my university. But the bad aspects are. This is only of 20acres not too big. Also they provide hostel to boys for only one year.
Placement Experience :
From 3rd semester you are eligible for placements also it's interesting. Also you can give many tests and interviews for intership because there is only age limit.
This college is good only for computer science and information technology student only companies for these courses come for the placement. Campus size is too small and hostel facilities is given to first year students only that make college life boring as everyone wants good hostel life. Admission process is through jee mains rank and for counselling fir this college you have to apply for hstes site. I prefer this college to the ones who want to opt for the course of cse or information technology. Also this college is best college in haryana after NIT Kurukshetra.
Placement Experience :
As I have already told you only cse and information technology students get placed other courses have very little chances to get placed. Highest package offered to our campus is 28lakh and lowest if 275000. Almost every student in computer stream and information stream get placed and 10-20 from other branches.
It's one of the best universities after some top NITs, Fees is quite low as compared to other colleges and return of investment is too good. Highest package of last year was around 28 lpa which is even more than half the NITs offered. Teachers are quite supportive and clubs are very cool and engaging.
Placement Experience :
Placements are soo good, Highest package last year was of 28 lpa. This year an electrical student was placed at 27.5 lpa at Adobe. Big companies like amazon, Adobe, samsung, Maruti Suzuki gives great packages. Avg for CE / IT student varies at 5-6 lpa. Placements of Mechanical students are also quite well as compared to other colleges.
Ques. Which is better, YMCA Faridabad or UIET Chandigarh?
● Top Answer By Anwesha Roy on 26 May 21
Ans.It partly depends on the branch that you have considered taking admission in. Check whether the branch is good or not before deciding. Because if you are getting the branch of your choice in either of the colleges, then go for it.
Now, when talking about which institute is better, then there are several parameters to decide upon. One of my friends decided to enroll in YMCA, Faridabad because for the following reasons stated below. Here is how she explains it,
You will need a better rank to get selected for the same branch at YMCA Faridabad as compared to UIET Chandigarh. She obtained CE in UIET Chandigarh with a particular rank of 24024 in her first counseling. While in YMCA Faridabad, she got IT in her second counseling, and CE in her third. This itself speaks a lot about the situation.
Besides, UIET is a department under PU, while YMCA is actually a university college under the same.
Apart from several reasons stated above, Chandigarh can definitely be a good city to live in as opposed to Faridabad. That can be the only upside to it.
Hope these factors will help you in choosing what is best.Read more
Ans.PEC is any day better than YMCA UST Faridabad in terms of the cut-offs.
The exposure you get in Chandigarh will definitely land you in some really good companies. PEC university doesn’t have a very huge intake of students.
The quality of education and respect earned over decades would be more valuable than anything else.
But if YMCA is near your home town, it would definitely be a better choice irrespective of anything else.
Having said that, there is a lot of improvement in the placements of YMCA students but PEC is definitely ahead of it.
Overall comparison suggests that PEC is better if the e-branches (Electric) of YMCA aren’t considered just because of the lack of campus placement of e-branches. Otherwise, both are at the same level in terms of the study and placement. Rather, campus placement of PEC is much better than YMCA.Read more
