National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur is ranked at 60^th in the Engineering category by NIRF Ranking 2019, making it one of the leading technical institutes in India. The university started as a regional engineering college. But in 2002 the university was included in the list of NITs under the National Institute of Technology Act 2007 and was also declared as an Institute of National Importance. NIT Hamirpur Facilities

The NIT Hamirpur Computer Centre provides a computing environment among the students.
It has more than 2500 voice & data nodes over the fiber backbone with above 100 active devices, wi-fi, Voice over IP (VoIP) and video conferencing.
The students of NIT Hamirpur are provided with 1gbps internet connectivity speed by NKN.
There are 185 computing nodes including 15 servers, 50 workstations, 30 thin clients, 70 desktops and 20 mobile terminals installed in the center building of the institute.
The health center is the heartbeat of the institute which provides Treatment for different diseases and also provides first aid to the injured persons.
All National programs such as Polio and Immunization program are organized with the help of Local Health Authorities at the NIT Hamirpur Health Centre.
In case of medical emergency, an Ambulance is available 24 hours for taking patients to other hospitals around the Institute for the required treatment.

Tech civil engineering course, one should look at the different perspectives that are given below. NIT Surathkal: NIRF ranked NIT Surathkal as the 21st best engineering college in 2019. The college has an amazing faculty for civil engineering most of the teachers that are in NITSurathkal have acquired Ph.D. degrees and a minimum teaching average of 2 years. The admission to the BTech Civil program is through JEE Mains. Placements: NIT Surathkal in the academic year of 2019 witnessed a 100% placement percentage. There were around 60 companies present to give jobs to the B. Tech students. A total of 97 students opted for placements for B. Tech civil engineering course, out of which all of them got the placements.
