National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is ranked at 67th in the Engineering (Research and Teaching) category by NIRF Ranking 2019, making it one of the preferred technical institutes in India. The university started as a regional engineering college. But in 2002 the university was included in the list of NITs under the National Institute of Technology Act 2007 and was also declared as an Institute of National Importance. Course Information: The M.Tech in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar is a 2-year post-graduation full-time course. The fees for the course are around 2 lakhs(approximately). The course provides specialization in structural and geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resource engineering, and planning. To get admission a student should score a minimum of 60% in graduation. Students are also required to have a valid GATE score. According to the 2019 data the required cutoff was as follows.
