Remarks

I made the decision to go for an MBA while working in an investment banking firm, wanted to enhance my knowledge horizon from the financial domain to other domains as well. Prepared for the CAT along with the job and luckily everything fell in place.

Remarks

It's one of the top B-Schools in the country and due to this fact, I chose to attend this college. IIM Bangalore has recorded a 100% placements record as 435 students bagged over 481 placements offers within 2 days of the Interview process. Some of the top recruiters visiting the campus placement drive were McKinsey and company, Boston Consulting Group, Karney, Price water house Cooper's, TCS, to name a few. A majority of the students were placed under the consulting and product management domain followed by IT, finance, and General Management domains. The average CTC offered was INR 26.18 LPA and the median CTC was recorded at INR 25 LPA.

IIM conducts placement drive for last year's students, during which over 100 plus recruiters visit the college ground in order to recruit eligible and qualified candidates for various vacancies available. Students can expect an average salary package of 15 lakh per annum, and the highest salary package can go up to 20 lakh per annum.

Remarks

The main reason why I opted for the postgraduate program at IIM is its 100 percent placement record, and various placement opportunities provided to last year's students. I wanted to start my career in the management field right after the end of the program, and IIM provided the best recruitment facilities to students in comparison to other colleges in the states. The admission of the students is done based on the CAT exam score, and interview round conducted by the exam authority.
