Fees -

It’s actually feasible sufficient enough that you can pay from your stipend. The semester fee is around 15-20k which is quite economical with respect to kind of research facilities and facilities provided for students. You will have monthly stipends which you can save to give semester fees

Course Curriculum -

The curriculum is very organized manner, you have a choice to select from the various number of course. For masters you have to select at least 10 courses, you are free to choose 2-3 courses from other departments as well. The courses are very flexible, and you get a lot of practical knowledge, from the materials point of view you will start looking at very basic things and there is no static knowledge that you have to cram it is all about basic concepts you will start thinking when you look at any problems

IISC life

Fees -

The fee structure is I think a little bit expensive from iits, but I am not sure. But yes this is less than one third compared to nits. If you are in mtech or Ph.D. you will get enough stipend to overcome the fee structure. I think what you will get from iisc or iits is invaluable respect to your institutes like general college or some nits.

Course Curriculum -

The course curriculum is very different from what you learned from your UG. The thing is that iisc focuses more on the foreign style of coursework. You will work more and more on maths. You can't survive if you are weak in maths. the course structure is very much stiff. Getting good grades like in UG is very very difficult but that is very useful.

Fees -

Pre Year: 14000. Which can be easily paid from the stipend what students get. For M tech students: 12000. They charge around 4000 for food and stay in hostel .So it is sufficient for basic needs of a student. For the facilities they provide the fees we pay are nominal.

Course Curriculum -

Well structured. Mostly courses will help you in doing good research in this domain. Toughness of the courses depends on from which stream you are from. As it is a multidisciplinary field one will find other discipline courses little tougher. There will be continuous assessment through assignments, mid exams, Presentations and mini projects.

Very Feasible, Once you get through in any course you get stipend here. Fee id deducted by the stipend itself so you don't have to pay any penny as fee once you're a part of this institute. Hostel and mess fee is also reasonable which floats around 1000 and 3000 INR respectively.

Course Curriculum -

The course structure of IISC is world know. They follow typical USA style credit structure and examination style. Students can go to any department to take courses and help themselves in building fundamentals for the area they're going to opt for the research.

" a beginner to researchers "

After doing BTech from NIT Durgapur I had two options to go for a job or to do a Mtech to give an edge to my career, after getting a good Gate rank I have decided to do masters from iisc, I have talked to the seniors who are here and got to know that the job scenario is also good here, apart from that the faculty is also very good of our department so it was a complete package, I always love this place, I had an option to go for a PSU but I realized the fact my life will get stagnant after that so I have decided to keep my patience and also my friend also has suggested staying here and I am very grateful today of my decision and feel happy about that.

"IISC life"

First of all, This university is the rank 1 university of India as everyone knows. This is the dream college of many Indian scholar students as well as foreign scholars. I was not expecting to get the call letter from iisc Bangalore because my rank was only 281 which is probably less for iisc .but, fortunately, I got iisc and immediately I took iisc. My intent was to do research on water research and environmental impact, climate change etc.so I opted water resources engineering here. The professors of iisc are very friendly polite and cool and they help you to do everything in your research as well as study.
