Great professors with helping nature and active academic. Professors are pretty good for all the students they provide necessary study materials and guidance to all us. Our academic staff is also providing us necessary information regarding our studies.
I am pursuing B tech in Metallurgical and material sciences. The quality of teaching is good. Yes the curriculum is updated every few years. To be job ready you should work hard externally along with the courses which you have already taken.
The course curriculum is quite good and systematic. Each Semesters of the 8 Sems has 5-8 courses(subjects) in it, each one with a course co-ordinator, who decides the weightage of exams. Speaking of exams, there are 2 exams MidSem and EndSem. Moreover, the co-ordinator of the course may conduct quizzes along with MidSem and EndSem. There is no Compulsory Attendance, but the co-ordinator of any course may introduce some weightage for attendance for his particular Course.
Our syllabus is very much updated as it involves electronics also which is used in industries these days. Although we not provided enough industrial exposure but we have almost all kinds of machine in our lab for proper learning experience. Faculties here have immense amount of knowledge, but some are not good at delivering it but when asked about a specific topic or any doubt, they put all effort to clear it.
Fees structure is expensive a little bit. Actually the fees structure is little bit high but, if we look on the facilities which a college is giving to us, is worth for it. College is providing us good environment, facilities and activities which is very helpful in development of our mental and physical health.
There is course work in semester and it is helpful in development of basic as well as applicative knowledge. Whole study is based on how to develop the skills of students in multiple areas of sciences and very important to develop conceptual knowledge related to specific field.
The fee structure is a bit expensive for an average middle class family to afford. The turion fees is 1 lakh and hostel fees of 16000 per semester. But he institute also provides scholarships for poor students.
The course of study is very diverse with a high focus on research rather than just mugging up on which most of the engineering colleges of our country focus upon. The labs are held daily in the evening shift 4 times a week.
Here the fee is 100000 per year including hostel which is not very expensive. The mode of payment is online only. So many scholarships are there. So don't worry about the fee. Education loan is also provided so that you may not face any problem. Two banks are available in the campus.
IIT Indore mathematics department is devoted to excellence in pure mathematics. If you love pure maths, IIT Indore is for you. The curriculum is designed in a very good way so that you can prepare for national-level exams like NET and GATE. Moreover, you can opt for a PhD as well.
Fee for M.Sc. students goes upto 36k in first semester and then decreases every next semester. For B.Tech students, it's probabily 1.2Lac every year. This fee structure is feasible for M.Sc. students but not for B.Tech guys.
If I talk about course, then there are 4 semesters for M.Sc. First two semesters I had course work and last two, have project work.Exams are also divided into two parts, first is 'Mid-sem' and second is 'End - Sem', which held every semesters and got CPI(Cumulative Performance Index).
The fee structure varies for general category and other category students. Being a general category student, I saw a fifty percent hike in fees for the general category student in the next year all thanks to Smriti Irani. And again this year law for increasing the fees for graduate studies is also being circulated.
The course curriculum is well defined. Follows the same as provided by the other IITs. There is a mid semester evaluation and an end semester evaluation. The distribution of marks vary as per the instructor's decree.
