Ans. Under the B.tech category in India of NIRF 2020, VIT Chennai is placed at 13th position whereas NIT Nagpur is spotted at number 27. VIT is popular for its B.tech CSE course unlike (V)NIT Nagpur which offers ECE as its flagship course. Admission VIT Chennai: VIT offers VITEEE for admission in the B.tech program. Aspirants must have AIR below 5,000 in order to make it to VIT Chennai in the first round. VIT offers 273 seats per branch of B.tech. The annual tuition fee at VIT Chennai is 1.73 lakhs for B.tech courses. NIT Nagpur: Students must clear JEE mains in order to get admitted to NIT Nagpur. Opening and closing rank for CSE, ECE, and ME are 2116-5361, 6151-8378, and 8296- 13454 respectively. NIT Nagpur offers 946 seats in total across all branches. The annual tuition fee for the B.tech course at NIT Nagpur is 1.3 lakhs. XLRI: XLRI conducts the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) followed by PI for selection. 95% is the cutoff for male candidates to join the BM program whereas 93% in the case of females for the same. XLRI offers a two year PGDM(BM) course at the course fee of 2.9 lakhs per annum. Focusing back on your question, B.tech+BM will consume your six years which you have to completely dedicate to your studies. Eventually, it will turn fruitful as you will end up in a high profile job post your PGDM(BM) from XLRI. XLRI even offers 100% placement assurance and 26 LPA, average CTC. On the other hand, B.tech from NIT Nagpur is also a good option. The BAA job profile at ZS associates will demand you to perform Excel-workbooks, PowerPoints, Data research, analysis, execution, etc depending upon the clients you work with. Having work experience is no harm where you can be financially independent 2 years prior to your option-1. You can further go back to study PGDM at any top Institutes. The deciding factor here lies in your passion and inclination either towards HR/ management or the core Engineering field. Decide what is best for you.Read more

Ans. The Doctoral Program at IIITM Gwalior is one of the best in Gujarat. There is no time restriction but usually, the program is completed in 2-5 years.  Requirements: For a P.hD in CS or IT, the student must have achieved a relevant Masters's degree along with some work experience as an added advantage. Candidates must be a 1st Class degree holder or its equivalent CGPA holder in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. Candidates are also required to qualify for GATE or have a GATE scorecard before applying for the course.  Education: Candidates pursuing P.hD programs are entitled to stipends depending on norms set by MHRD and subject to fulfillment of academic qualifications put up by the university from time to time. The professors at IIITM are experts in research and students can verify their profiles through the IIITM website. They receive the best students in science for research which is an important plus point for students looking to pursue P.hD. Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology or VNIT, Nagpur also offers P.hD programs in Engineering, Architecture Planning, and Applied Sciences. It is a private university which selects candidates for its Doctoral programs based on merit.  Requirements: For applying at VNIT, students are required to have a master’s degree in their respective fields and GATE scores. Students who have qualified for Government Fellowships like DST and CSIR fellowship can also submit their applications without GATE scores. VNIT itself offers a fellowship to select students depending on their means and merit.  Comparing between the two universities, it can be seen that both have their benefits and competencies. An important factor in pursuing P.hD is the kind of research professor and peers that are available since they affect the overall environment of the course. Both universities provide an excellent environment and assistance for Doctoral Programs. Students can go for further research by looking into the professor’s backgrounds and scrutinize the research projects undertaken by alumni of the university.Read more

VNIT is listed among the top NITs in India. Being one of the top college, it also has the best campus and surrounding. Since it was a home college for me, I rate it more than the others and you don't know with the JOSAA rounds so I freezed it in the first round itself.

The ratings and reviews of VNIT was very good as I have gone through diffrent websites including Collegedunia.com also. So I thought that it will be a good place for me to study here and explore more opportunities. The thing that I like most is the lush green campus for which it is famous.
