The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is ranked 68th among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF Ranking 2019. The college is situated in Shillong, Meghalaya and is one of the 31 NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 of the Parliament of India. NIT Meghalaya has a total strength of 646 including 117 female students, as well as a highly qualified faculty with a majority of Ph.D holders from reputed universities. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs across various specializations.
Admission to B.Tech at NIT Meghalaya is done through JEE Main and JoSAA counseling.
