IIT Bhubaneswar successfully inaugurated the Phase-1 of its 2020-21 placement drive on December 1, 2020. Even amidst the pandemic, the institute has already provided 32% of Placements to its students.
This year, the domestic placement offers managed to surpass that of the previous year, while the total number of international offers were lower than last year’s figures. As of now, the highest salary package stands at INR. 45 LPA which was offered to 7 students from IIT Bhubaneswar.
During the 2020 placement drive, The undergraduate students witnessed about 87% placements, and the M.Tech placements are close to 65% up till now. The highest CTC of INR. 43.4 LPA was bagged by the students of the UG program, while the average CTC stood at 15.8 LPA, a sharp increase of 34% over the last year. The premier institute had also observed a surge in PPOs in 2020.
The highest number of job offers had been received from core industries. PSU’s like ISRO, IOCL, NCCBM had also participated in the campus placements. MNC companies like Goldman Sachs, GE India, Honeywell, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, TCS R & D, and Adobe had participated in this year of placements

IIT Bhubaneswar kick-started its 2020-21 placement drive on December 1, 2020. Over 32% of its students have already been hired by some of the reputed firms. A total of 88 offers have been made up till now.
The highest salary package that has been offered since the inauguration of the 2020-21 placement season is INR. 45 LPA.

Over 160 UG students bagged placement offers from some of the topmost recruiters and bagged the maximum salary package of INR. 43.3 LPA.
The average CTC witnessed a 34% hike as it reached INR. 15.8 LPA from INR. 11.44 LPA last year.
The institute witnessed a surge in PPOs this year, Offers as high as INR. 43 LPA have already been received, majorly from core industries. MNC companies like Goldman Sachs, GE India, Honeywell, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, TCS R & D, and Adobe have participated in this year of placements.
The trend this year shows 51% of students getting jobs in core engineering fields. Students also got offers from the Analytics Sector (8%), IT Sector (32%), and Consulting (9%). PSU’s like HPCL, IOCL, Oil India Limited participated in the campus placements.
3rd-year students have received internship offers in reputed industries. The majority of CS and circuital branches engaged in Internships has the possibility of a full-time offer.
