Remarks

Everything is good about this college except the hostel rooms which are little small for two persons. College management is good in our college.

Admission

I cleared the GATE exam which held on February 4,2018 and got 2025 rank then applied for Nit Jalandhar because of close to home and got accepted in the second list of college admission. I opt for computer science and engineering because I love computers, technology and love to do coding.

Remarks

It's a good place. No one regrets while being here. As we say beauty is in the eye of beholder. So it would be very mean to say too good or too bad. It's all about how one feels for himself or herself. Rest, college is good, management is also good. Being a central govt institute you won't face any major issues related to management or else. The things are smooth there.

Remarks

The college doesn’t have a positive reputation among other NITs but the college is good among other government and private schools of punjab. The people of punjab don’t know that this college is centrally funded and they don’t consider it a great college for engineering in punjab. The people must get aware about the entrance exam providing such a quality education at such low expense.

Ques. Which among IIIT Jabalpur CSE, NIT Jamshedpur ECE, Kurukshetra ECE, NIT Raipur CSE, NIT Hamirpur ECE, NIT Jalandhar CSE colleges is best?

● Top Answer By Asmita Khandelwal on 05 Jan 21

Ans. Since we are looking at different specializations, it is best to opt for a specialization that interests you before choosing a desirable college.  Comparison - Courses: Both Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) courses are highly sought after in India.  If you are interested in further studies after completing Bachelors in Technology or getting into Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) then Electronics is a better choice.  Placement opportunities in the Computer Science and Engineering branch are far better. So, choose the branch wisely. Comparison - Institutes: Most people are unaware of the fact that IIITs are way older than NITs. IIITs focuses specifically on the study of Information Technology which is not the case for NITs. Some of the IIITs, Allahabad, Jabalpur, Kancheepuram, Gwalior, are institutes of national interest similar to the reputed NITs. Now, let’s take a look at the courses mentioned in the question. Course  Closing Cutoff Fees  Average CTC IIIT Jabalpur CSE 15620 5.29 lakhs 9.9 LPA NIT Jamshedpur ECE 14149 7.16 lakhs 8 LPA NIT Kurukshetra ECE 18724 2. 36 lakhs 8.24 LPA NIT Raipur CSE 11517 5.52 lakhs 9.5 LPA NIT Hamirpur ECE 47987 5. 84 lakhs 6.78 LPA NIT Jalandhar CSE 10800 3.52 lakhs 8.57 LPA Judging by the academics and placement opportunities, the preference order of the institutes should be-  NIT Jalandhar CSE > IIIT Jabalpur CSE > NIT Raipur CSE> NIT Kurukshetra ECE > NIT Hamirpur ECE > NIT Jamshedpur ECE. However, before choosing an institute do your own research, visit the official website of the institutes to know more. Also, do not judge a college solely based on the opening and closing rank for the course you want to pursue. Examine the other aspects of that college too before choosing.Read more

"Overall a good college for CSE or ECE branch"

1st of all it is NIT. National Institute Of Technology an institute of National Importance. I got the Electronics and Communication branch here and placements are really good here in this branch. Admission is done on the basis of JEE MAINS exam rank. As soon as JEE Advanced rank is out counselling starts for both NIT's and IIT's. Counselling is done by JOSAA. Firstly choice filling is done. Then we have to report at the NIT whenever a seat is alloted to us in the process. Electronics branch here has very good placements. Big tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, UHG visit campus for recruitment. Average package is 9 lacs. Infrastructure is very good. But the bad thing is the course curr

"I am totally satisfied with my college"

NIT Jalandhar has a culturally diverse student life. NIT Jalandhar offers the most affordable fee structure in the region thus leading to the best return on student investment. The bad Aspect of this college is the placement rate is quite low but overall college is good. NIT Jalandhar takes admission on the basis of CAT/MAT/CMAT score and also takes their own Entrance for admission in the MBA program. Then they release the cutoff list on the basis of that list they take GD/PI for the selection of students. I prefer this college because here faculty member is good and also for business Incubation center.

"Interviews are needed to applied by oneself only."

NITJ is a well-reputed college and ranked 61 in 2020 among the top colleges for engineering. NITJ has a good management system and teaching staff. Also, students get a good placement in the engineering department. The admission process included various entrance exams from CAT, CMAT, MAT. Also, it conducts a personal NITJ test through which some students of the vacant seats are allotted confirmed seats. The admission process starts in the month of March. The only reason for preferring this college is a good infrastructure, teaching staff, and placement. I compared different colleges on Collegeduniya.com as well as Nitj.ac.in a personal site. I also proffered quora questions about asking f
