Ans. IIT institutions will always have a better tag in terms of reputation and value of degree when it comes to choosing between any other universities. Although IIT Patna and IIT Dhanbad are fairly new branches of IIT, the services and quality of education is rapidly improving and has become almost equivalent to some of the old IIT institutes. Faculty at IIITD is much better than the IITs but one of my friends opted for IIT Patna seeing the ‘IIT’ tag. The CSE branch is constantly improving every year and choosing an IIT campus will ensure a diverse, highly academic and comparatively better peer group to be part of. So, it might not be fair to compare IITs with Techno India University as TIU was established in 2002. The expertise, global exposure and hands-on technical training in IITs are unparalleled. If a student gets an opportunity to study in an IIT, be it anywhere, the IIT tag itself is sufficient to get you noticed by the industry professionals. Techno India University may not be as popular as the IITs, but it is a reputed institution under WBUT. Techno India University is notable for its engineering department. Their school of engineering prepares students with theoretical and practical knowledge about the subject and provides industrial training to enhance the skills of the students. Students involve themselves in workshops, seminars, and interdisciplinary research. Techno India University takes admission for B.Tech courses through WBJEE, JEE Mains, Techno Joint Entrance Examination whereas IITs take admission through JEE Advanced. Below given is a brief discussion on the infrastructure, placements, exposure at these institutes which will help you in deciding which institute to choose. Location and infrastructure- Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat and IIT Gandhinagar is at a central location. The infrastructure of the college is beautiful and is equipped with all the necessary facilities.
