For admission at IIM Udaipur, eligible candidates must appear in the examination required as per the course. However, to apply for a particular course, one must visit the official website of the Institute and fill the application form. The selection criteria for each course varies from each other. Admission to IIMU is a three-step selection process. Firstly, interested candidates are required to appear for CAT Examination. Qualified candidates are then required to appear for WAT-PI.

The institute concluded its final placement session in April-May 2020. The highest package last year was INR 27.5 LPA which increased to INR 40 LPA this year.
