Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology (MPUAT) is a state university located in Udaipur city in Rajasthan state in India. It is the second Agricultural University of the state established on 1st November 1999 by the Govt. of Rajasthan. MPUAT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and ICAR. It works with an aim to imparting teaching and training in the various fields of agriculture. MPUAT ranked 1st in state and ranked 21 in India by ICAR. The university runs various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels in multiple disciplines.

Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology offers the wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate research courses in various fields. The list of Courses offered by MPUAT consists of B.Tech, B.F.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc at undergraduate level and MBA, M.Sc, M.Tech, M.F.Sc at postgraduate level. MPUAT also offers Ph.D program in number of streams. The duration is different for UG and PG courses. MPUAT Admission Criteria
MPUAT Admission is done through offline mode. Candidates who wish to apply can obtain the application form along with prospectus from the university. Before applying for any program, students are suggested to check the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the university.
Passed 12th in (PCBM/ PCB) from a recognized board
Passed 10+2 in relevant stream from a recognized board
Passed 10+2 with PCB/ PCBM/ PCM/ Agriculture stream from a recognized board
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 60% marks
Students should have B.F.Sc degree
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or equivalent from a recognized University
Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 65% marks from a recognized university or Institute
Merit and Personal Interview
- Reservation of 3% seats is applicable to each physically challenged, Defense killed and Ex-Serviceman
- Reservation quota is determined on the basis of intake capacity in a program and in PG program
- 15% seats in B.Sc Forestry and B.Sc Horticulture and 25% seats in M.Sc (Horticulture) are reserved for ICAR nominee
Library- the college has a well-equipped library with a collection of 150710 books, 128 journals, 1653 CD Rom. There are around 2981 journals (scientific) that are available through online system
Hostel- the university has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. It has 10 hostels out of which 2 are girl’s hostels
Campus Networking & Internet- the university facilitates networking of 2-Mbps (1:1) leased line through Cisco 1700 router, Cyber am 500i UTM, Cisco PIX 515E firewall and Cisco catalyst 3550 and ISDN line connectivity
