Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU) was established in the year 1987 with the aim to improve and update the quality of study and research, the university always tries to build up collaborations with other universities. VMOU is the third oldest Open University in India, earlier known as Kota University. It provides distance education in various programs such as BA, B.Com, BJMC, MBA, MCA, etc in various fields.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the open university (http://www.vmou.ac.in/) and click on ‘Admissions’

Step 2: Tap on ‘Apply Now’ and click on ‘New User’

Step 3: Register yourself with a valid contact number and email id and verify your registration with entering the received OTP on your given contact details 

Step 4: Enter VMOU Login details and begin with the application process 

Step 5: Choose your desired course and fill in the application form with the correct details like past qualification details, personal details, etc.

Step 6: Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, and required documents within the asked dimensions

Step 7: Submit the form and make a payment of the required application fee as per your category and course

Offline applicants can download or print the application form from the official website. Duly filled forms are supposed to be submitted with the payment. Payment can be made through Demand Draft in favor of VMOU.

Selection procedure

  • Admission to all undergraduate programs like B.A, BSW, B.Sc., and more except B.Ed are done on merit basis - marks obtained in past qualifying academics.
  • B.Ed admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam conducted by the university.
  • MBA admissions are done on the entrance basis - marks obtained in qualifying MET (Management Entrance Test) conducted by the university. cores obtained in MAT/ CAT/ CMAT in the last one year.
  • The selection procedure for postgraduate courses other than the MBA is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam - VMOU Entrance Exam conducted by the university.

VMOU Admit Card
As the VMOU Exam Timetable for December session has been released on the official website. Students can download their VMOU hall ticket by following the given steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the VMOU
Step 2: Click on the Admit card link
Step 3: Now enter your application number along with the DOB.
Step 4: ​Take the printout of the admit card for the upcoming term-end examination for both regular & private students.
VMOU MBA Admission 2021: Last date to apply for VMOU MET 2021 is February 17. The admit card for VMOU MET has been released . Students can check their MBA Admission Admit Card 2021 from the official website. 

VMOU Entrance Result

VMOU releases the result online for all the study centers on the official website only. Students must follow the given steps to check the results. By following the same process students, can also check the vmou results for lateral entry courses.

  1. Visit the official website of the VMOU.
  2. Scroll to the Examination tab & click on the results link.
  3. After clicking on the result link, you will be redirected to the result page.
  4. Either you can click on your desired course link or on the detailed results.
  5. Now enter your scholar number & select the program.
  6. Submit & download your scorecard for future use.

Note: Successful candidates can enroll their names in their desired courses after the completion of the counseling procedure only if they satisfy their eligibility with VMOU results.

Student Advisory Cell: The University has a special advisory cell at its headquarters. All forms and admission documents are issued from this cell. The cell also contains an array of promotional literature and solves all problems and grievances of students.

Ans. No, there is no entrance exam for admission into B.Com. Admission into B.Com is on the basis of class 12 marks.

Ques. What is the eligibility criteria to pursue BLIS?

Ans. The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue BLIS is graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Ques. How much should one score to qualify internal examinations?

Ans. A candidate must score more than or equal to 35% of the total marks to qualify the examination.

Ques. Do I need to pay additional fees in case of re-examination?
