Ques. Which college should be preferred between Thapar University and SRM, Chennai?
● Top Answer By Shruti Rai on 09 Jun 21
Ans.The comparison between Thapar and SRM is definitely not up to the mark because Thapar is better than SRM. Having friends studying in both these colleges, I can assure you to confidently choose Thapar over SRM.
Being a private college SRM had never paid attention to the quality education or any other criteria which a better college should do. It's the same as all other private colleges in India.
Thapar should be preferred. Be it faculty, environment, infrastructure, education, and placements, Thapar is much better.
DE Shaw, Bosch, Flipkart, HCL, etc.
TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Byju’s, etc.
It basically depends on the student as comparing the Institute won't end up anywhere. A student should focus on the right career and college from the very beginning and should prepare accordingly. According to the student's priorities and choice of place, the Institute can be selected. But among these two, Thapar excels over SRM.Read more
Ques. Should I get a Bachelor's of Technology in computer science from MSIT GGSIPU or SRM Chennai? Why?
● Top Answer By Adrija Pramanik on 08 Jun 21
Ans.If you are from Delhi, you should go for MSIT, it is one of the best IPU Colleges for the following reasons.
Microsoft visits MSIT Campus every year to hire interns.
You will have enough time to prepare for master’s.
Technician societies like IEEE are active in the colleges and if you are fortunate enough to be a member of the society, you will have better chances in placement.
There was a fully sponsored trip to South Korea for the chairperson of IEEE.
Although, fields of interest vary from student to student. But, yes if you are interested in enhancing your knowledge and network there are good teachers and seniors who can really help you.

Ques. Which is better, the SRM main campus or Chandigarh University for CSE or IT? Also, what is the procedure to enter these colleges?
● Top Answer By Harkirat Kaur on 02 Jun 21
Ans.CSE/IT branch from CU is a better option to choose if you are looking forward to growing academically. The reasons are below.
The fee and placements for B. Tech. program:
INR 10.40 Lakhs
INR 7.80 Lakhs
CU has the Grade A+ accreditation by NAAC and UGC approved.
CU has the best placements. It holds the Limca Book of Records for the Highest Number of Companies in an academic year.
The faculty is excellent. Most of the professors are young and dynamic. They have modern thinking. They possess knowledge about their subjects and know what they are teaching.
CU is academically strict. It has a rigorous curriculum.
The infrastructure of the institute is worth the cost. CU has 13 libraries, restaurants and cafeterias, separate boys’ and girls’ hostels, sports complex, shuttle service, gym, Wi-Fi campus, auditorium, convenience store, and labs for various fields, respectively.
Overall, CU is the better choice. Even the return on investment of CU is far better than SRM. But you should not consider it if you are looking for a mix of studies and extracurricular. Read more
Ques. Which one is better Sikkim Manipal, SRM or the NCR campus?
● Top Answer By Aakash Garg on 30 May 21
Ans.According to my friend at SRM, the KTR campus of SRM is the best choice. If you consider factors like faculty, placements, and a lot more. The points below will provide you a brief overview of all the institutes stated above and the advantages of SRM over them.
SRM University has three campuses, first in Kattankulathur, second in Ramapuram, and third in Vadapalani. The campus in Kattankulathur (KTR) is marked as the best among them.
In SRM KTR, will make you a real engineer. It has excellent faculty, provides a lot of on-campus placement opportunities, and is also good in extra-curricular activities.
The other two campuses of SRM, Ramapuram, and Vadapalani, are somewhat satisfactory, but not as good as the KTR campus.
Talking about the NCR, the campus is quite far away from Delhi, which results in a lot of travel to and from Delhi on weekends.
The faculty of NCR is not that good and so students have to be dependent on self-study. The placements are decent because it is held in the Chennai (KTR) campus. But, the NCR campus has much lesser fees than the Chennai campus and so, it is considered better.
The Manipal University is called a happening campus, which provides excellent college life, extra-curricular activities, party culture, etc. But, students in Manipal University should be aware of the bad habits on campus and choose friends wisely for the same reason.
The fee structure in Manipal University is also on a slightly higher side. It provides average quality placement to students.
More than 50%
Dell, Amazon, etc.
HCL, Infosys, etc.
TCS, Infosys, etc.
Considering all the above points, it can be easily concluded that the SRM KTR campus is the best option.Read more
Ques. Which college should I go SRM or NMIMS for CSE?
● Top Answer By Shivani Tiwari on 29 May 21
Ans.CSE at SRM is the best choice when compared to NMIMS. I have a relative and a close friend who graduated from these institutes, according to the reviews here is some analysis-
Infrastructure- SRM has a luxurious campus with a variety of facilities, State-of-the-art labs, libraries, Wi-Fi, a knowledge center, 4000 capacity AC auditorium, 100 online smart classrooms, Hostels with premium facilities, bookstores, dining options, cafeterias, prayer halls, gym and more.
Placement -Top salary USD 200,000 offered to NANO Researcher Mr. Shivaraman at California, USA. Nearly 100% placement of registered students at companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, Siemens, and others.
Scholarships- Fee waiver of 50% to students with above 95% in CBSE or State Board examinations. Founder's Scholarship-full waiver on tuition, books, hostels, and mess, plus a stipend of Rs.1,000 per month to top state, SRMEEE, JEE rankers.
There should be no comparison between SRM and NMIMS. Both are best but for different purposes, SRM is best for engineering and NMIMS is best for the management courses. If we talk of the better one then NMIMS Mumbai and NMIMS Bengaluru are best but only for MBA not for engineering.
The following table shows statistics for both institutes:
If you want to join SRM then, I recommend you choose the south campus of Chennai. Don’t worry about the fees if you can afford the Modinagar campus fees then you can afford the Chennai campus fee too.Read more
Fee structure is 2,50,000 for b.tech In ktr campus (main campus) except aerospace engineering and nanotechnology for this fee is 3,75,000. Scholarship varies every year and after the publishing of srmjee results, they publish scholarship details on their official website. They provide a loan facility which is very good in Srm it very easy to apply for a loan. When it's come for internship college have a curriculum to provide every student internship of at least 12 months which includes in our syllabus
The fees structure for each campus for each respective courses are different but it's the most expensive in KTR campus as its the main campus and is the most functional campus and the best campus in term of placements. Fees for my course i.e CSE with Cloud Computing it is 2.5 lacs but for students above 12k rank in SRMJEEE, it is 3.5 lacs. Various scholarships are available on the basis of rank and 12th marks as well as JEE mains ranking one can check them on their official website.
The fees structure is slightly expensive than the government colleges but then it is the case of every private institute and the fees for CSE and specializations is 2.5 lacs and for students above 12k rank in SRMJEEE it increases to 3.5 lacs and then comes the hostel charges which ranges from 1 .2 lacs to 2.2 lacs according to your preference and affordability. Our University provides various scholarships on the basis of 12th marks and JEE Mains rank and SRMJEEE rank and full fees waive off for the toppers. Financial assistance in terms of loans and fee payments in installments is good too. Job offers here are pretty good and all opportunities you get to make your career a success.
Fees per year are 3.5 lac exam and placement fees are charged separately.
During the lockdown, it was unnecessary to charge so much because we were not using the infrastructure or the labs, or any other facilities. And then again we have to around 2.5k separately for each semester exam and all we are getting out of it is half explained ppts, from where they don't even ask the questions that comes in the tests
Or college has various scholarships and financial assistance help which is being given on the basis of one's 12th marks and SRMJEEE ranking and also on the basis of JEE Mains ranking. You can check the detailed scholarship criteria on their website and it's really motivating.
Campus Placements are very satisfactory and all the big giant companies and startups come with offers from the beginning of your particular placement season and also Internship opportunities are provided at the end of each year.
The fee per annum is 280000(tuition fee) and 120000(hostel and mess free). The University offers a scholarship for students who excelled in semesters accordingly.
Since I have not been to the university due to the pandemic, I have no proper information about on-campus jobs or financial assistance.
The fee is too high for UG and the exam fee is excluded from the overall tuition fee we pay, and since I'm in the 1st year, I do not have the complete experience of SRMIST, Chennai.
One of the college which is known for fees spike in past few years, the fess is though worth it, I must say because the infrastructure has also to be always updated to the latest technology and hence requires money.
Yes, Financial assistance and scholarships are given to the students who get excellent score in the Entrance Examination, and individually do gets a stipend for campus placement.
Total fees for the course is 350000 per year and avg package is also good like 3-4 lakhs per annum, highest is approx 40 lakhs per annum, many good companies come to campus for placement. Google, Microsoft, and udaan come for placements
Fee structure for b.tch in biotech is 2.5 lakhs and 1.5 lakh is the hostel fee for non ac rooms and 2.5 lakh for ac air conditioned rooms . Cse students have 3.5 lakh of tution fees which is reduced to 2.5 lakh if you do well in entrance exams . Scholarships are added every year to give change and motivate each individual . If your gpa is above 9.5 in all semester , you get 50,000 or more off on your tution fees
Fees were hiked but not for the existing batch so that's a positive. Financial assistance was self funded, and remained the same during the 4 year period of the course. As well as for all the other expenses.
