The university offers several scholarships to financially challenged students such that brilliance is not hindered by money. Ans. There are three options that you can look forward to, while choosing the college. You can refer to the points I have made for an easy comparison, mentioning mine as well as my batchmates' experience of studying in different colleges. Option-1: B.Tech IT from JSS Noida, CCET Chandigarh, or UIET. Studying at CCET Chandigarh i have to mention that, it does not offer an IT program but offers a CSE program. So, if you are looking forward to pursuing IT, then UIET (Panjab University) is the best option among all the colleges. CSE and IT students receive similar opportunities. In 2019, a total of 56 companies offered 309 jobs to the students of UIET. CSE being their highest placed branch followed by IT and ECE. The companies that offered jobs to both CSE and IT students include Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, KPMG and many more. With the PU tag and a NIRF ranking of 72, UIET records good placements among all the three. If distance, transportation and location are not your primary concern you can easily opt for it. Option-3: B.Tech CSE from Shiv Nadar in Noida. If CSE is your choice, then you can definitely opt for this college. Shiv Nadar is a private university so a financial backup is necessary. It has a huge campus with all the necessary amenities. The return on investment is not that satisfactory. The fee is Rs.9.40 Lakhs and it is quite higher than the other institutions. Overall, if your interest lies in ECE then the VIT Chennai can be declared as the winner here. You may collaborate on some CS or IT courses or certifications, along with a VIT ECE program if you have a little interest in CS or IT. VIT offers 273 seats per branch of B.tech. The annual tuition fee at VIT Chennai is 1.73 lakhs for B.tech courses. NIT Nagpur: Students must clear JEE mains in order to get admitted to NIT Nagpur. On the other hand, B.tech from NIT Nagpur is also a good option. Having work experience is no harm where you can be financially independent 2 years prior to your option-1. You can further go back to study PGDM at any top Institutes. First, you should decide which course you want to pursue Mtech in biotechnology or Mtech in industrial biotechnology as that would help in comparing institutes and choose the one with the better program. VIT is considered to be the best colleges to pursue Mtech biotechnology due to the excellent consistency it has obtained with the placement rate and the strong conceptual foundation offered to the students along with hands-on experience. On the other hand, NIT Surathkal is one of the leading NITs in India and offers quality education in Industrial Biotechnology. NIRF has ranked VIT and NIT Surathkal at 15 and 13 respectively for BTech. Admission: VIT takes admission for MTech Biotechnology based on VITMEE or GATE score. Infrastructure: VIT Chennai has a stellar 192-acre campus. It comprises all facilities a student would need. There are two academic blocks, auditoriums, conference halls, smart classrooms, and well-equipped general amenities. The campus also boasts of state-of-the-art sports facilities and gyms. Academics and Facilities: When it comes to academics the college boasts of top-notch faculties and facilities. The campus is well equipped with lab facilities for all the departments to explore your field of study. The faculties are well qualified and have years of experience in teaching. Teaching Methodology: The teaching style followed by most of the faculty is the presentation method. Only a few faculties teach by following books. The college follows the Fully Flexible Credit System that allows students to choose their own courses along with the faculties. CAT 1, CAT 2, and FAT are the 3 divisions of semester examinations.
