Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is a Deemed to be University located in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and was established in the year 1889. The Institute is currently under the administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. Courses offered by the Institute are:  M.V.Sc., Ph.D and National Diploma in Various Specializations. Admission to M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. courses will be done on the basis of Entrance Exams. Whereas, admissions to the Diploma Programs are merit based.

Scholarships are offered to those candidates who are admitted through competitive entrance examination for M.V.Sc./ Ph.D. degree programs. The scholarships will be awarded purely on basis of Merit. The amount of scholarships available for the students are as follows:

  • Rs. 7,560/- per month for 2 years with a contingent grant of Rs. 6,000/- per annum for two years for Master’s Degree program.
  • Rs. 13,125/- per month for three years with a contingent grant of Rs. 10,000/- per annum for three years for Ph.D. research program.
