Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (SHUATS), Allahabad was established in 1910. The institute was formerly known as the Allahabad Agricultural Institute. An esteemed university, SHUATS has the honor of being the first agricultural university of India and the first such institute in south-east Asia.

SHUATS has organized a lot of cross-border collaborative arrangements and has signed MoUs with universities in countries like the Netherlands, UAE, and Denmark.
